Naming Luca's sibling

:wave: It's been a while!

I'm sure a lot of you remember the trouble we had naming our son, Luca. Our poor boy had multiple names throughout my pregnancy and then we struggled to agree once he was born.

L names are completely off the table this time around. I regret listening to my husband and wish we'd stuck with Leonardo.

Anyway - new baby, new name. We do have a list and have been referring to this baby as Jacob. If there's no names that stand out, he'll probably be a Jacob.

Luca's previous names:
Lincoln, Leo, Leonardo, Charlie, Luca.

Other names on our list:
Alfred, Mason, Samuel, Elliot & Reuben.

The only problem we had with Elliot was people possibly shortening it to Eli. I don't own enough weapons to tackle that issue right now

My friends little boy got 'Roo' as a toddler which I thougt was a sweet Nn too x

I love Roo as a potential nickname will suggest it to my husband in the morning. Hopefully we'll have at least another 10 weeks to decide so there's no rush x

It's so hard. Boys names are definitely harder I think. I'm not fussed what this baby is but I'm not looking forward to name discussions if it's a boy 🙈 lol

I love Luca and Elliot!

If anyone tries to shorten Elliot, simply correct them and say it's not Eli, it's Elliot, so you'd prefer them to address him by his whole name.

My daughter is Maisie and I swore I wouldn't shorten her name and I was worried everyone would call her Mai but in fact I was the one who started calling her her nickname - Moo!

Shortening the name was the problem we had with Jacob too. We both love the name but dislike Jay and Jake. We've added Jaxon to our list x

I have a Luca and considered Leo. Think the two go really well together plus both Italian do have the same theme.

We considered a lot of Italian names (I'm Italian, my husband English) but decided we aren't going to use them as a set theme. I think we're leaning towards Reuben at the moment but nothing is set in stone x

names that I think go well:
