I just wanted to start a thread for all of those who are using NaPro. I'm sure there is not many of us out there but thought this would be a great way to encourage each other.

Where are you at?

I have been seeing a NaPro dr for 2 years. I'm just now starting to track using Creighton.

Did not want to read and run. I used to be in Creighton and NaPro. Charted for years and had hormones etc, did not have much luck with that.
However I have been thinking about contacting Dr. Hilgers this year. He is supposedly the bedst. I'll just send him so old charts and see what he says. Maybe something has been overlooked which only he can find;) He is supposedly good with hormones and I have issues there... so maybe I will contact him.
Hope it will Work well for you, and if you push search you can find old threads about NaPro which contains some success stories

I started last year. Had surgery at the end of June. I have been charting every month, taking pill after pill. Right now I am on Metformin, letrozole (3rd cycle), a vitamin b6, and ferilecm, and pregnitude(first cycle). I'm tired of charting and tired of keeping track of medications. However, I am so thankful that after years of long cycles (60+ days) I know have normal 28-34 day cycles!

Can someone explain what this is please as I haven't heard of it before. Thank you

Basically it is a different form of charting. Specialized doctors treat not just infertility but all women based on the creighton model. Of all of the different charting I have done, this one is the easiest and makes most sense. I like it because they don't just try to throw medication down your throat, although I am still on some. They try to understand, based on your charting and sometimes surgery, how and why your hormones are off. It takes a long time, but they are definitely thorough. They take blood monthly, have monthly chart cycle reviews, etc. I could be way off, but at least this is my experience of Napro/Creighton model

Me martini described it well. You can google it for more information it is a worldwide program. It's a very standardized approach to charting.

I'm on my first cycle of charting it is pretty easy. I go for my first follow up next week. I am not a fan of messing with hormones, NaPro approach does help as they try to do what is needed to get you where you need to be.

I am using NaPro as well. I had two laparoscopies in Omaha (at PPVI) in March and June last year. The first was to see what was going on, and the second to fix some endo and adhesions. Since then I have been a charting and medication regimen, now on cycle #8. The first five cycles I was on Clomid, and now on letrozole (Femara). There are a few other meds as well.

One nice thing about using NaPro is that they found issues that no previous doctor had found. Whether the issues are the cause of 50+ cycles of no BFP is hard to say, though. At this point I think I am up against age more than anything else.

Piggie I have many of the same issues I believe atleast.

I go for my first follow up with my Charting teacher on Monday. I think it will prove to be complicated...

Hi,
Ive been doing Napro for the past yr. Ive been dx'd w/ ovarian dysfunction, low AMH, and estrogen dominance. I'm on my 3rd cycle on Femara starting CD#4-8. And HCG injections Peak +3,5,7,&9. Has anyone else had success being on the same meds?

I am doing something similar: the same HCG injection schedule, but for some reason I take the full Femara dose (25 mg) on CD #3. I am also on T3 and T4 for hypothyroid, and slow-release B6 and amoxicillin for mucus. I have a cycle review via email with the doctor when AF shows up.

However... no success yet, now on cycle #8 post-surgery.

Wishing you luck!

Question for NaPro users

So this is our first cycle back trying. I have chronic discharge. I know I need to use highest quality and quantity for first BD then the 2 days after (right?) so tonight is day 3. Now if cm goes back up do we do the same bd pattern? Or should we take a break? We also are using the clear blue fertility monitor and it's not matching up like I suspected so I was thinking we should bd then too?

We are also trying to squeeze in a SA this cycle.

Ideas please?
