Alex used to have 5 7ozs bottles in a day, every 4 hours ish (except evening when last bottle is 1.5hrs after previous) but the past week hes been taking all his bottles except the one he usually has mid afternoon. Is he natrually dropping it? Should i start introducing a solid meal at this time?

How many meals is he having at the moment? If he has dropped a bottle it might be because he is getting enough food/milk and doesn't need it any more, so he might not need an extra meal there just yet? Joseph went suddenly from 5 bottles to 4 bottles once he was on 3 meals a day, and now he only has 1 8oz bottle and then sips milk from a beaker throughout the day with his meals and snacks (he's 13 months) x

he could be ... my lo was demand fed and naturally spaced out his feeds till one at a time they dropped.
not sure how old he is, but if he is 6 months or almost and showing signs of being ready (still being hungry etc.. ) then it is an option.... but if he is under 6 months and is getting all he needs from the milk ( sounds like he is as he is turning that one down, if he wasnt getting enough food he would probaby want more not less) i wouldnt push it , there is plenty of time for weaning later :)

He is older than 6 months (by a couple weeks) and on one meal a day atm

ah that is probably why he is dropping the bottle, sounds like he is doing great :)
carry on with what you are doing , gradually introduce another 2 "meals" that include solids when he is ready for themthen increase the amounts ( or the other way around) , you will find he will drop a bottle or 2 as he sarts to eat more :)

yup luisa dropped a bottle at alexs age :) she now only has 3 bottles and 3 meals :)

Violet's being BLW but she's dropped down to only 4 bottles a day and the amount she takes at each bottle hasn't increased.

Discussed with my HV as I was worried she might start losing weight as she's not eating yet but HV said its fine, she doesn't need anymore then what she's getting.

I've got to remember to trust her and trust that she'll take what she needs!

Aiden dropped all his own bottles naturally which i found so much easier than him being stressed by us taking one away from his routine. i just hope he drops the last 2 naturally too! he is only on 2 bottles a day now morning and night and has 3 meals a day plus snack in the afternoon and supper in the evening! xx

Isobel dropped her mid morning one about a month ago. and now beginning to drop her mid afternoon one. and she's on 3 meals a day

Phoebe was on 3 bottles and 3 meals at 6 1/2 months.
