Hello all! I'm new here - Stephanie, 35, married with a step-daughter but hoping to TTC for our first together in Oct/Nov. I currently have low progesterone, a very short luteal phase and I suspect have some thyroid issues (can't focus, can't gain weight, hair loss, etc). I just completed a 24-hour hormone panel and am excitedly awaiting the results! I see a naturopath and a Traditional Chinese Medicine dr.

I'm wondering if anyone else has gone the natural route to become more healthy reproductively? I am definitely very granola and am a stereotypical west coaster in my approach to health! I'm still frustrated at my short luteal phase. It's getting longer but still less than 10 days. Has anyone tried maca? Or any other suggestions?

Thanks! :)

Welcome & good luck to you! It's good you are aware of your luteal phase defect. You are very likely not going to get pg with a 10 day luteal phase. Hopefully, the labs results will be helpful.

There's lots of information out there about natural ways to increase fertility. There's a post on this thread, on page 2, called "Over 40 Natural BFP with DHEA CoQ10 Vitex Black Cohosh Low AMH" that you might find helpful/interesting. This is a site I found to have lots of information, presented clearly: https://natural-fertility-info.com/. I can't speak to how well any of the suggestions worked, since I am still not pregnant (and have moved on to the big guns), but it seems like good stuff for people who aren't such "hard cases" (that's what my acupuncturist calls me).

Red clover blossom every herbalist u will speak to will recommend it. I had unexplained infertility and helped conceive my 1st. Im using it now and in 13 months sadly.had 2 losses but im still using it as i know it works. If you google it it will tell u it helps problems caused by thyroid i actually.remember as thyroid problems run in the family although i havnt had problems yet. I would speak to a local herbalist and get all thebins and outs some herbs wont work for some problems eg vitex isnt for everyone. Have to say red clover has lengthened my lp it was 10 now 11 or 12 and my post o temps are higher as i think my progesterone is low.

Have to add not used it forn13 months i had a break from using inbetween losses i was still ttc but my heart wasnt fully in it i used red clover for about 4 months when conceived each time.

I tried vitamin B6. I had a luteal phase averaging 9 days. After taking it it lengthened to up to 12 days plus PMT was much improved.

I'm 39ttc my first and just started taking Macs last Friday. Anyone ever taken this and had it make them weepy?

I'm 41 and have gotten 2 BFPs. Sadly, both were losses. I'm taking Prenatals, Vits B, D, E, DHEA, omega 3-6-9, Maca, and Ubiquinol.

Edit - and I have a ridiculously low AMH.

Ms Sunshine - I have loose dried red clover that my husband sometimes drinks as tea. I drink red raspberry leaf almost every day. Do you know if I can I add the red clover to my RRL? Or at the very least drink a cup of each every day? I'll definitely read more about it.

Thanks to the other replies! Any others would be awesome. I'm taking B-complex so there's a B6 in there...

What is CoQ10? I've seen it mentioned in a few places but have no experience with it.

Hi yes you can take red clover and red raspberry together (as i did to conceive my son and herbalist i seen said it was ok) in case you dont know you have to stop taking both once you o x
