Tomorow will make it 2 years since i started applying for jobs and i have just hit the 1000 documented jobs ive applied for, not including the ones i didnt right down.

yes ive had LOADS of interveiws and jobs? 2 one was mcdonalds but the smell made me sick. the second one was with a shop which closed down

i feel like a complete failure living on benefits and cant even afford heat so i have to stay at my moms

i cant carry on living my life like this :(

It's hard to find a job atm hun, it's not your fault.

I put jobs online for a living and it's seriously dead atm., :hugs:

have you tried applying for bank work at your local hospital, its only when they need you but its a foot in the door of a very secure job
x

thanks girls

ive never heard of bank work in a hhospital would you be able to explain please?

What about retraining & going to college to work towards what you would like to do. I thnk if you're on benefits then you get discounted/free courses. Why not call your local college, they have careers advisors who can help too.

It may take a year or two, but it's got to be better than nothing?

I know what you mean about no jobs though. I work (before mat leave) for a recruitment company and there were hardly any jobs, and those that there were had lots of applications. X

Tescos, asda, sainsburys etc are always looking for new people, especially since christmas is over and the students are going back to uni. It's not great, but at least it's something while you are looking for other jobs?

Carers are always in need, and can pay better than retail work x

i had a fight when i was 14 and ended up with a criminal record, gbh, i duno if its off my record now :S but i thought with a gbh charge you cant do stuff like carers/childcare/socialwork/policework

Have you been to a careers advisor, they could have a look at your cv?

you phone the hospital and ask if they are taking on bank staff, most are.they then give you interview and they phone you when they need someone on a ward(because of someone being off sick etc.) its great experience as you get to go on loads of different wards.
the hospitals near me are always in need of bank staff.
if you do well on a particular ward and they need someone permenant you can attend the interview and voila a permanent job :)
