Need abit of advice as just got back from having Ollie weighed and my HV thinks Ollie might have reflux. He's constantly sick to the point that all through the night I'm changing his bedding and his clothes. It's the same in the day. I've got his moses basket angled at about 30 degrees so he's not lying flat on his back but it doesn't really help. I've noticed that the past few days he's not been settled between feeds and is very whingy and at times in pain as if he has wind but he burps etc very well so feel it's not that. Last night he was awake from 2am till 5am just whinging and not seeming comfortable. My HV has advised me to try SMA Staydown to see if that helps but looking up the reviews on it, it's not great stuff and is really thick and hard to make up too.

I'm just wondering if there were any other "staydown formulas" that any of you could personally recommend or am I best to just go to the docs with it? x

Oh my god this is exactly what i'm going through with my little girl Maley. I'm on my way to docs right now but i'm considering buying aptimal easy digest to see if it helps

Let me know how you get on so I can judge whether to go to the docs or not. Good luck xxx

Done more research on the net and have decided to take Ollie to the docs tomorrow. I'm definitely not changing his formula as I've read it can make it worse for little ones as it's too thick. Will see what the doc says tomorrow x

The doc told me to take her A&E! the doc said that Maley is alert and seems healthy but whilst we was there she was sick 3 times and the doc said that it was quite alot and she shouldn't be doing it that much. She also said 3oz every 3 hours is fine so i'm not over feeding her. She said its probably reflux but as she is only 2 and a bit weeks she wants a pediatrition to see her.
Jem - the doc said if it is reflux then there is something they give you to put in their bottle

Thank you so much for that, I'm off to the docs tomorrow about it. Really hope Maley is ok bless her. So worrying isn't it. Let me know how you get on with the paediatrician etc, hope the hospital can help her xxx

My LO has reflux, has had it since about a month old. She has gaviscon in her bottles and domperidone to stop her being sick. Can't give you much advice about it because its hard when they're being sick all the time but you will learn to cope :)

Thank you x

I went to the docs and Ollie has got reflux. He's been prescribed Gaviscon and the doc will see him again next week to see how he gets on with it and if it's working x
