Hello =]
I am 22 years old, my husband and I have been actively trying to conceive for almost a year and still have not!
I have been off birth control for about 6-7 years, I'm usually pretty regular so I would track my period and the days I would be most likely to conceive and well.... still nothing.
Recently I purchased the ovulation test kit.
I DID NOT ovulate when all ovulation predictors had predicted.
How the test works is, there is a test line and a reference line. If there is only one line (the reference line) you are not close to ovulation but once there are two lines, you know it's coming up. Well the test line has to be the same color or darker than the reference line which would signal ovulation within 24-48 hours if I remember correctly, and that never happened for me
However, the day the test line was at it's darkest (which was still a shade or two lighter than the reference line), was 8 days before my missed period.
The next day, it went right back to not having a test line and just the reference line (one line)
I'm wondering if anyone else is having this kind of issue? I purchased the Early Response ovulation test kit, should I try a different brand next month?
And if I did in fact ovulate and fertilization took place, when could I test?
Would I still get my period being that the dates are so close?
I'm so lost, any advice AT ALL on conceiving would be greatly appreciated!
