I been nursing my little one for going on 16 months and was not ready to wean him just yet. Well on December 11 of last year I took a pregnancy test which came up positive, which then I would have to start weaning my 16 month old. My OB doctor wanted me to wean him due to bleeding problems with previous pregnancy. I knew it was going to be hard because he is such a booby baby. So I started the weaning processes, on December 18 th about 5 weeks pregnant I started bleeding bright red blood, called my OB and he said there is nothing he could do which I knew it was to earlier to do anything, but the bleeding only lasted 2 hours and stopped. That day I decided to stop breastfeeding him completely which broke my heart, but I was doing it to try to save the baby. During this time my breast hurt bad with engorgement. I wanted to know what was going on before Christmas because I was still having some bleeding, but not much with no pain or clots. So on December 23 rd I had a ultrasound and there was nothing, no sac, no fetal pole, anything. The only thing was my uterus lining was thick and my hcg levels were 5550. He told me I was going through a miscarriage. So when I got back home I decide I was going to go head and breastfeed my 16 month old longer, which is helping some with the comfort of my loss. I am still going through the miscarriage, my levels have dropped some to 3171. I would like to know if there is anyway I can increase my breastmilk? I went 6 days with out nursing him or pumping, due to the bleeding. I noticed I have not had any let downs at all lately. I hope you ladies can help me, thanks!

First I am so sorry for your loss. :hugs: I had an early miscarriage before having my bub. FTM here, but after that loss I went to an aryuvedic doctor, she recommended Fennel Tea for breastfeeding. It worked, I actually over-produced and have stopped drinking it for the time being. Just be careful as if you get pregnant again you're not supposed to drink it in early pregnancy although like anything a small amount I'm sure won't hurt. Best of luck!

So sorry for your loss how awful for you. The only thing I would think is to keep nursing and pumping, hopefully that will bring your supply back quickly. Good luck xx
