What can I get my gran for Christmas?

She's 84 and can't really put jewellery on easily so that's out. She doesn't have a good sense of smell so doesn't appreciate perfume and toiletries (though obviously she still likes to smell clean!)

She's trying to cut down on the number of photo frames and ornaments she has as she wants rid of her big unit in the living room

She won't use candles in case her house burns down

She is a technophobe too.

Any ideas? I know I've not left much to work with!!

I bought the kids Grandma a star :) Its something that can be passed back to them when she isnt here, they can look at the sky and see Grandma as a star :) x

Mine is the same she is 89...last year I got her one of those cushions that eases pressure on her back she loves it as she has arthritius (sp?) this year I have gone for thermal bed socks and lots of choc and cake as thats the only thing she likes to eat anymore, my nan has dozens of nighties and slippers but maybe that be something for yours...or foot warmer my nan loves her wheat bag too could you get her one of those????

I know you said your gran wanted to cut dwn on photo frames, but what about a digital photo ftame with all her pics on it. You could update it for her x

Something like a foot spa? Or a nice scarf and gloves set
xx

We got DH's 75 year old auntie a digital photo frame and a pre-loaded memopry stick last year. We set it all up so basically she just needs to plug in and turn on. We're doing another memory stick this year :)

We also have made photobooks through the photobox website too for her.

China cups & posh tea & biscuits.

I've bought my nan a photobook filled with pics of the kids. Years ago my mum made my great nan, she was in her 80's, a photobook filled with pics of all the family, some really old ones and recent ones, twas lovely. x

The photobook is a great idea.

How about some posh biccies / chocolates?

Thanks girls :flower:

She already has a digital photo frame (mum beat me to that one last year!) and my sis is doing a photo calendar this year so that's out.

Might go for the china cups, biccies and foot warmer...
