Hi ladies....well I have been on here a few times and now Im back...I have a 4 year old daughter and a week old babygirl...On top of constantly being sleep deprived I have noticed that my oldest DD has a horrible attitude since the baby has came...she does the exact opposite of everything I tell her...Being a single mom i try my very very best to give her as much, if not more attention then her sister but it doesnt help....Any advice? I really do not want her too keep up this behavior or resent me or her little sister....

My eldest was like that for a little while, he did settle down but still has his moments

she is big girl now and she understand that baby needs a lot of you attention but at the same time she is still baby too and is jelaous i believe.my advice would be to get her involve in your everyday DS2 routine get her to help you passing things like nappies ect.tell her also that her little sister will need her more a soon as she starting to get bigger because as she is the BIG sister she is going to be teaching little one things!i have 7 weeks old girl and 13 months old boy he was like that (i know he is very young too but very clever like for his age)i've done this what im writing to you now and it worked he loves her now and is good to me too!

Thank you I have been trying these latley and she seems to feel better as she loves to help. Thanks for the great advice!

Yeah just include her in as much as possible. She's had you to herself for 4 years and now has to share you with someone else. I'd just keep getting her involved and try to really encourage her good behaviour, try to ignore the negative behaviour unless it involves hitting.
I did an early years foundation course and the things we are doing that we shouldn't are amazing lol. I never seen such things before lol. I've learned completely different techniques and the girls behaviour has improved massively.
