I'm home alone. I have this De Ja Vu from last year, sitting here waiting, knots in my stomach.

I'm beside myself.

Of 22 eggs - what if none fertilised? What if they were all crap? They say with OHSS risk the eggs are of poor quality. What if all of mine were?

Feeling close to panic at the minute. Those two words keep coming back to me. "Last chance."

Good Luck hun! Hope everything is ok and you get lots of good quality embies.

:hugs:

Oh huni,

I cant imagine how you're feeling, we are all thinking of you.
Try to keep yourself busy until they call.
Will say a prayer for you.

S xxxx

It's just wracking me, now. I'm in so much pain from egg collection that I'm kind of just stuck in bed with the cat and my laptop. There's not much I can do to take my mind off things. Just sitting, waiting. As soon as that phone rings I think I'm going to have a heart attack. It's hard. Everything is so uncertain, right now. Because there is such a high number of eggs I worry that I've built myself up to something and might be disappointed with the reality.

13 fertilised normally. That's three more than last time!!! I checked my blog from last year and it was 10 out of 11 (or 12 considering the abnormal embryo). Obviously 10 out of 11 is better than 13 out of 22 but I have to remember that a good 7 of those were immature so it's really 13 out of 15 mature...

Waiting for that call is nearly one of the worst things about IVF!

Thanks all. I'm expecting another call on Saturday at around 9am. That'll be another one to wrack my nerves about...

Aww well done - great number! Back to waiting - thats the worst bit. Good luck.

Wow thats fab news curlysue! Keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

curly sue i seen your post a few times, can i ask why your having ivf? Is it a male problem? Also are you having NHS treatment?

xx

Haha oh, it's a long list as to why I'm having IVF.

I have blood tests which indicate PCOS. I have endometriosis. I ovulate about three times a year if I'm lucky. My egg reserve is that of a woman close to ten years older than me and my husband has "less than average sperm".

It is estimated I would have a viable embryo naturally once every four years.

Sucks entirely.

Thanks for answering for me :)
Are you nhs or private? Lots of questions i know! lol

I have pcos and OH has very low sperm we been told its ICIS needed. PCT having funding problems so were no doubt in for a wait.. unless we go private x
