Hello ladies I'm new here. Just didn't know where else to turn and need some support/guidance. Dh and I have been trying for five years naturally. Nothing. I get checked every year so we know its not me. Finally convinced dh to get checked out. Our first urologist appointment is tomorrow morning at 10am. I'm so nervous. Not only for my husband having to even go through this but also by what these results may tell us. I mean I guess it's better to know then keep trying blindly right? I don't know I'm just so nervous I can't even sleep! Can anyone tell me what to expect at our first appointment so maybe I won't freak out so much?

Hi, hopefully they can give you some answers and you can move forward. I would rather know what what was wrong with me. I live in a country where doctors are utterly rubbish and just want you to pay for Ivf straight away. I haven't had a blood test even though I have been asking for over a year, been trying for 22 months now.
I would imagine they would just take history, perhaps a quick scan - not painful and hopefully run some blood tests. Your husband would probably have a semen analysis.
This is just a guess though, like I said, the doctors here are rubbish.
Good luck x x x

Sorry, I misread your thread. Ignore that above.
They might do a semen analysis and a scan on his dangly bits x

Thanks we are just leaving the doctor now. They did a physical exam including a prostate....so awkward!!! Then sent us home with seman analysis cups for dh to donate a specimen in. Then our next appointment is in two months so by then hopefully they have all the results. I'm just torn, because as much as I don't want there to be anything wrong I do want them to figure out why we've gone five years with nothing. I just hope whatever it is that it's easy enough to fix. Will keep you all updated. Thanks for the interest and advice.
