I'm going for my post coital, another ultrasound, and bloodwork today. I don't know why I get nervous before every appt! I just hope my follies are looking good!!

best of luck, I know what you mean about nervous, I do too, but at least I suppose you have reason to be nervous with wanting to check your follies are doing ok

I just got back from appt..... My follies look great, but the post coital test did not go so well. Apparently my cervical mucus is attacking DH sperm. arrrrrrgggghhhhhhhh

oh no is that because of the meds you are on?? I know when my doc was on about clomid last week he said sometimes it can create more probs like with making hostile CM.

What can be done about it? WOuld preseeed help?

The Dr said my best option is going to be artificial insemination, so it can bypass all the bad mucus and go right where it needs to go. I am waiting on a call back from his office, b/c they may want me to go in tomorrow to get it done.
All my follicles and hormone levels look good.
If the insemination does not work, I have to go on a low acid diet and do a few other things.
I have lots and lots of preseed that will just go to waste if insemination is my only option!

I just got a call from the nurse. I have to go home and do the trigger shot ASAP, and I go in for 7:45 tomorrow morning for insemination

I just got home.... now comes the LONGEST 2 WEEKS OF MY LIFE!!!!
Everything seemed to go well. DH sperm was "great" and the insemination only took a few minutes

My DH is going out of town for business on Monday, and not returning until Friday, so I will be working, then going to parent's house for dinner all week. At least that will break up my week a little bit... I guess I better start thinking of some stuff to do!

can I ask what the procedure was like? how long it took, what they do b4/after and most importantly, did it hurt?!!

It did not take long at all! My DH and I got to the office around 7:45am, and there was a waiting room FULL of people (all there for the same thing) We dropped off the specimen for the sperm to be washed and prepared, then waited...and waited... and waited. Finally around 10am, I got called back, took off my bottoms.. and waited some more! The nurse came in and verified that the sample was mine... It was mixed with an extender fluid at our house, and it was a very pretty pink color.
The actual procedure itself took maybe 5-10 minutes at most! It did not hurt, felt very similar to a pap smear. I did feel a pinching for a split second. After the sperm was on its way, I had a fertility packet inserted into me, which I had to keep in for 2.5-3 hours. Think along the lines of a BIG plastic coated tampon. We were instructed to have sex last night......

thanks for that, I assumed it would be similar to having HSG which sounds about right, not heard about the tampon doolie!
