Maybe it's just me but I always read threads of girls in hospital for various reasons and I feel SO sorry and worried for them but it one of those things isn't it that you just don't think will happen to you iykwim?
Anyway figured I'd fill you all in cos don't want to go all TMI on fb lol

So I'd just got into town with Mum yesterday and when we got off the bus I had bad back ache and an uncomfortable tingling sensation down below. I went for a wee and when I wiped the tissue was BRIGHT red and there was a little clot, I looked in the toilet and it was just COMPLETELY red. I wiped again and there was nothing as well as nothing in my knickers so I knew it was in my wee which calmed me down enough to get to mum, ring my midwife, ring the hospital andd order a taxi and then the shock set in and I was just shaking and my teeth wouldnt stop chattering and I just felt completely dazed. I thought I was either gonna lose my little girl or have her early. I have a history of kidney problems and had been told from the beginning that pregnancy can cause them to fail and cause prem labour.

Skipping out all the boring stuff in the middle (I'm getting hand crap from this stupid remote keyboard thing) my wee cleared up almost right away but a scan showed both my kidneys are badly blocked and they cant work out why have no pain or water infection, I must just be weird lol. Evie should be safe to go to full term so long as my kidneys dont start to fail/incur permanent damage or else theyll need to get her out. Most likely they'll want her out at 38 weeks just to save my kidneys as much as poss. but all in all she is safe and well

SO HAPPY because my scan today has shown NO markers for downs syndrome whatsoever! The nasal bone has been clearly seen and all else is measuring perfectly and within the normal range :D obvs nothing is definite without the amnio but she now has no more chance of having downs than any other baby in a normal pregnancy :happydance: x

I'm really sorry to hear you had to go through that hun :hugs: I'm glad that all has turned out and that little evie will stay in there as long as possible, sorry to hear about your kidneys, I hope they don't get any problems :flower:

Big :hugs:! you must have been terrified, I know I would be.
Really glad everything is alright & your little girl is okay :) hope you don't have any more problems xx

Aww hun glad everything is ok. I wondered what was going on.
Lets hope everything stays ok so u can have her at full term.

Oh Jade, how scary! I'm so glad that the scan went fine though (in terms of the ds markers) and have my fingers crossed your kidneys hang in there so she can make it to full term.

Aww hun :hugs:

I'm glad it's cleared up a bit and Evie is okay!
I know how horible hospitals are, hopefully you're not in there for too long! (those remotes drove me mad!)

Hope you get better soon hun :flower:

So relieved! My kidneys are pooped but not actually incurring any permanent damage and as I'm not in any pain for now they're just gonna keep an eye on them and hopefully can keep bubs in there til 38 weeks  x
