Hi I am new to here. 4 years ago I was dx with PCOS. We have been trying to conceive for 3 yrs now. I have taken 3 rounds of clomid in the past with only one producing follicles but no ovulations. I let my body rest after those 3 and focused on me and my weight loss. I just recently took another round with no results. When I went back to the dr., he told me that we would up my dose,put me back on metformin, and give me HCG shots. I was wondering if anyone has had anyluck with doing this, what the possible side effects were?

I don't know about the metformin but the clomid part would be what you are already used to and then with the hcg shots, they are to make you release the egg once it is mature. I haven't noticed any real side effects from the hcg except that I might feel like crying more easily for about 36 hours after, and sometimes soreness at the injection site (your butt...ouch).
Thanks. Kinda wanted to get an idea of what we will be up agianst with the hormones. My poor husband just sits back and let the meds take course with my mood swings on clomid. Hopefully the shots will work, and will maybe get a late christmas present.
