i had my baby 6 days ago im looking for reassurance of how others have felt after birth. this is my 3rd baby

peggy-rose - 6 days old
molly - 4yrs old
harry - 6yrs old

im anemic so feel rather tired, off balance dizzyish spaced out my bleeding varies to dark red/ bright red and either lots or hardly any with a few clots

any one else feel similar or felt similar

I was so spaced out and felt so battered after the birth (it didn't help that I had to have an epidural as I had a long labour and needed drugs to induce contractions when they started to tail off and I was too exhausted to cope with further pain) that I hardly remember the first couple of weeks. Life was just a blur of exhaustion and breastfeeding.

I also had stop-start bleeding that varied in consistency and volume - just when I thought it had stopped, it started up again! For about four to six weeks I think!

The weirdest problem I had was the deterioration of my memory. I just couldn't remember a thing - I was constantly forgetting what I was saying, or struggling to find the words for things, or forgetting my changing bag if we went out, etc. It's much better now, but I still sometimes try to speak the perfectly formed, logical sentence I have in my head during conversations, and come out with a load of garbled bollocks lol.

I just laugh at myself now. I'm exhausted, but used to it!

Yep memory loss - thats scary. First month was the hardest. Also cried for no reason. I found that i coped better on my own. People around me just exacerbated the blues. Even my mum who actually helped a lot with bathing the baby, cleaning, cooking.

Its only now (around 3 mths pp) i think i started noticing that im back to usual myself

Thank you ladies the lochia and pains drive me nad its now 10 days pp I thought it had gone light and brown but then woke up in night to a small gush of red blood which is continuing today I hate the feeling. I have to get the older two to school so I have to move about etc it's so frustrating xxx

It is a total gross pain, but it will stop! Though mine continued for quite some time, it was much lighter/more bearable after the first two weeks or so.

My first daughter I bled for 12 weeks and the second 11! This time I've just finished bleeding at 8 weeks pp and I'm over joyed it was quick this time!

I felt so spaced out after bambino numero 2. Albeit I had hardly any clots because my MW removed what she could see. I did cry over the silliest of things a few days after and bled for 4ish weeks whereas with DD I bled for 8 weeks... that said I bled for 4ish weeks then a couple weeks ago had a day or two of bright red blood and my doctor said my period has returned and next time could be the same or heavier or back to normal. Also my memory post birth was shocking, I even had my mum writing down memos and sending me texts about info I wouldnt have forgotten about before.

Still struggling with the horrible lochia brown then everyday I get a bout of bright red. Plus I have been told I have fluid(bleeding) and a clot I'm uterus I have another appt wed but not sure what will happen it's making me so anxious :(

I bled for 13 weeks after having my daughter. It wasn't that bad this time but I was more emotional at first and didn't even know what I was crying at.
I was exhausted with my first but she still doesn't sleep through at age 4, so I'm so used to it now, even with an extra baby, haha.
