NEW GREAT CAMPAIGN for UK WORKING SINGLE PARENTS!
Gingerbread are running a national campaign and creating a new blog that they want working single parents around the country to write to change the stereotype that politicians and the country have about single parents just being scroungers.
They want to show that most single parents actually work, and the ones that dont find it hard due to the awful lack of financial help we get (e.g high childcare and housing costs if you dont rent, meaning wages dont meet bills!)
Ive written about it in my single parent pessimist blog and included the link to their page where you can find out more about the campaign and also sign up to be a writer. Ive signed up as it is sooo how im feelin right now and they want us to write about daily life experiences and problems we face as working single parents!
