New House!

This is basically just a massive brag thread! I got my new house. Finally! Its taken long enough! We're getting the keys on friday and got the removal van booked for sat. I am so so happy and will be posting pics as soon as its all decorated. I can start on Raphaelle's nursery
I cannot wait to be out of FOBs damp mold infested flat. And to leave his horrible block and disgusting neighbours.

congrats on the house i was like this when we got ours in july lol.. its my pride and joy im so houseproud, and OH let me pick EVERYTHING so im over the moon with it lol. i think its funny when you buy little bits and bobs for fireplaces, windows etc and any man who enters the house doesnt notice but women are straight over asking where you bought them lol, have fun

ooh i will! OH is currently trying to reign me in, its like all the big companys know i'm moving as we've suddenly started getting catalogues through the door! I'm stuck on which rug to get for the living room atm i feel so sorry for my OH, so far he's having a pinky/purple bedroom with flowery curtains! I might have to change it though, i don't know how far i can push him and i want pink dining chairs!lol..xx

Oh i regret starting this thread. I am on such a downer atm. So we got the keys to the house this morning and i was ridiculously excited we went to our new house and had a look round for the frist time without the previous tenants stuff in it and it just looks so shabby. All the major work like plumbing and electrics has just been bodged, the wires and pipes are all left uncovered, the plastering is shocking and all the woodwork needs doing. There's so much work i would want to do before its the kind of house i'll be proud of and we cant afford to do any of it. I've finished work [well one more day] because of the move and my pregnancy and not being able to work so late in the evenings any more coz i am literally asleep at the end of a night and i'm waiting on a claim from income support. We have absolutely NO money. Not even enough to by ourselves dinner for tonight.
I just want to curl up and cry but yet there's boxes that need packing, washing that needs doing and all the rest of the sh*t that comes with moving.
I just need some virtual hugs girls..xx

Lol! Thank you! I'm in, its a mess but so much better than the last place. I just cant help comparing it to my friends new house which is stunning, like a show home but i just got to make the best of it i can. I love having a window in evry room, such a luxury and its so sunny so i'm noticing all the good points now. Just need to save up to make it beautiful now..xx
