Hi Ladies,
This is my first time posting in this particular forum and I thought I'd tryy to get some clarification as to what to expect.
I just moved to the province of Quebec and am expecting my son in late October.
Because I couldn't find work so late in the pregnancy after moving here, I decided to be on the last resort financial assistance program here through emploi quebec.
I was a student before I got pregnant, so I don't qualify for materinity leave pay from EI.
I'm wondering, could anyone give me an idea of what I can expect to receive after my baby is born (aside from the child tax benefits from the provincial and federal govt)?
Also, does Emploi Quebec consider you to be temporaririly incapacitated from work and give you the supplement for that. I am single person, so there's no spouse to be taken into account in my situation.
Thanks for your help!
