New to LTTTC

I am new to the LTTTC thread and was hoping to find it more encouraging then some of the previous threads I was trying. I started on the TTC thread and the TWW thread but became easily discouraged by some of the people that were on there complaining about how frustrated that they weren't pregnant after like 1-3 months. Seeing as how DH and I have been trying for almost 2 years it was becoming pretty aggravating! I know you ladies can understand my frustration since you have been trying for a while. I am definitely not a negative nancy by no means but just seeing all the posts and people getting BFP's after not trying for very long was bringing me down. Anyway I will just give a little background on myself, like I said before my DH and I have been TTC for close to 2 years now. We are on our fifth round of clomid, useing preseed, and on March 7th I am having a laparoscopy done to see if I have endometriosis, adhesions, or any blockages of the tubes. I am very hopeful about this procedure because my mom tried to conceive my sister for 10 years useing clomid and everything possible then she finally had this procedure done and became pregnant the next month!

I know what being frustrated at some of the stuff on here is like. My DH and I have been trying for five years. Maybe hanging out over here will other LTTTC ladies will make you feel better.

I know what you mean. After being poked and prodded for this and that and all the medicine, vitamins, test, blah blah blah, it can be very frustrating seeing other people complain because it didn't happen their second month. My supervisor just went out on maternity leave and she was like that. She was tried one month, didn't happen, then got pregnant the second month. Unfortunately she miscarried but as soon as she was able to try again she did. When the first month didn't work out she complained and said she was done with it. Of course she got preggo the second month again and is now home holding yet newborn while I've tried everything but standing on my head to get preggo for a year and half. I'm happy for her but I definitely had those days where I just wanted to tell her to shut up. Hopefully thus procedure will do what you want it to and you can follow in your moms footsteps. I get frustrated also when I see people who say how hard it is on them to be TTC for 6 months or less. But then when I think about it, I've been TTC for a year and 5 months and if I were one of the ladies on here who has been trying 3+ years, I would be frustrated with people like me so I guess I just try to be supportive of them just like I'd want people to be supportive of me on this particular section. But I do know what you mean. When I think to myself now, the first 6 months were nothing and after you hit the one year mark and are called infertile, it gets even harder. Hopefully all goes well with your lap so you can soon join the first trimester board. Good luck and lots of to you!

,i'm also new over here in LTTTC so knew you'd be in need of some girls who know how it feels to be trying for such a long time. I felt like i didn't fit in on the TTC forums anymore & seeing all the BFP announcements & tickers got me down at times.
Hopefully you'll feel better over here,i do already knowing i'm not alone & in the same boat as everyone else.
