Hello everyone. I am just starting to make food for my daughter and I have a few questions.
1. How long can you store fruits and veggies in the freezer?
2. Is there anything that shouldn't be frozen?
3. If my daughter doesn't seem to like a certain food and I want to come back to it in a few weeks do I have to wait a few days before starting a different food (to make sure there's no reaction) or can I heat up something else for her that day/or next day?
4. At what point do they start eating finger foods?

Any good tips would be so helpful. Thank you.

1. I'm not sure - I tend to freeze most veg/meat but haven't frozen fruit.
2. Check packaging. If you freeze meat, make sure it's reheated thoroughly. Chicken can go a bit tough with freezing.
3. I've never waited a few days for a reaction. My LO had peanuts and eggs within a week of being weaned. We weaned at practically six months though and have no family history of allergies.
4. Babies can eat finger food as soon as they are sitting unaided, bringing their hands to their mouths intentionally and have lost their tongue thrust. I'm not sure how it'd work with TW, but we BLW from the start.

1. Homemade baby food can be stored for up to 8 weeks
2. Other than what the pp said about meat, I wouldn't freeze yogurt as it can separate and doesn't always taste as good when defrosted but that's just personal preference.
3. You don't have to wait to check for a reaction so that just depends on the approach to weaning you feel comfortable with
4. We didn't start finger foods til 8 or 9 months (as far as I can remember) but I wish I'd done it much sooner. There's no reason why you can't jump straight in with them at 6 months
