So as of today I am on CD51, 22days late for af and i have totally accepted i skipped a cycle. I was sick with the flu the week af was suspected so im thinking she just let the flu do its thing. For shits and giggles i took a hpt this morning BFN as expected but anyway, So i think i may have ovulated this but since i skipped a whole cycle and idk how the whole regeneration of cycle thing works i didn't exactly when to take an opk to tell i had some slight cramping on my left side and watery mucus even egg white mucus one day but i noticed just before bd so i dont think it counts but if so that would have been 7 dpo. But i guess my question is do you ovulate on the day you notice the mucus or a few days after i've read both. Also if i did ovulate couldn't test in a few days or should i just wait to see if i miss this period to as its due in like a week any how. During this whole missed cycle deal i have noticed a pink spotting when i wiped a couple of times in then about a week ago i had brown discharge for a few hours just thought i would through that in there. So any advice or insight for a new comer?

I don't think you can skip a period really. MAYBE you can ovulate twice? Not really sure on that one. The likelier explanation is that your flu interfered with your Ovulation date, and you O'd later than normal. Maybe even A LOT later... CD51 is CRAZY! I'd being going nuts!

As for mucus... mucus is an indication of your fertile period. How long EWCM sticks around is variable. Some ladies don't get it at all, some have it for long periods of time. It's not going to tell you what day you ovulate, just when it's a good idea to try!

Yeah to keep myself from going insane and broke buying hpts I just kind of figured it was annovulatory cycle or the flu interfered in some way or another with af's arrival but af is due again in a week and i have scheduled a doctors appt for the following week in the event she decides to stay mia.

as far as the mucus goes im just confused by the whole using it to tracking aspect of it in general the only thing i know for certain is that they said that it is an unreliabe way to track ovulation. I only noticed the ewcm right before bd (sorry if that's tmi) and so im wondering if im getting it confused with arousal fluid.

Hmmmm... Maybe you were? I know a lot of ladies on here who don't produce EWCM use preseed, which is a sort of lubricant that's supposed to mimic EWCM during sex. I would assume that what is produced during arousal would be different though, since it would be triggered by different hormones.

The whole CM thing is super confusing. What I've taken away from it is that producing EWCM means my body is more fertile, but not necessarily that I'm Oing, and that EWCM is important because it coats everything in preparation for Otherwise, I understand, our bodies are very acidic and will kill sperm.

I'm not very laid back, and TTC has been really hard for my mentally and emotionally. I found that I needed the reassurance of the OPKs so that I could actually verify what was going on with my body. After a couple cycles, I'll know how long my LP is, so I probably won't need to buy them anymore because I'll be able to count days more effectively. I encourage you to use as many tools as you need to put your mind at ease!

My prayers are with you on journey to concieve hopefully you wont have to wait to much longer. As for me I'm not really trying but would be happy if i was which i know makes no sense. Im just really lost and frustrated with my now 52 day cycle.

yeah its now cd58 and still nothing and by this time i should have started my next period so now im really freaking out.

i have a doctor's appt in two weeks so i figured i would just wait and see what she says then. plus just take another test and see if what happens. partially i have a little hope as a coworker told me she was 9 weeks along before she ever got her bfp... so we'll see i guess...

figured i'd give an update since i hate that fact that you never see how these things end but anyway... Tested again last night after work and so i moved my doctor's appt up to the 23rd which is in a few days can't wait. Im kinda hoping she'll do an ultrasound to see if i have pcos or at least give me provera to jump start my period again but i guess we'll see how it goes. if i get bored again i may test again just cuz i can. who knows maybe ill get a but my hopes are definitely not up

Well today is cd 61 im more confused than ever now here's why. SO i was going to test again idk i guess just for the sheer sake of testing (i know i know at this point im just a sad case and there's no point) but anyway i didn't get but around 4 hrs of sleep last night and woke up in the mist of that to go potty so i figured no point. But the reason why i am confused well all day yesterday i had constant and consistent, mild cramps like my period was definitely coming. But no af just watery mucus and an abundance of it. Then when i went to the restroom last night i noticed a whole bunch of small blood clots (tmi im sorry) when i wiped and this morning i have a slight pinkish discharge. Am i losing my mind????

That could be your period, but it could also be from a "raging" UTI. Fx for your blood test! That should give you some real answers.

well my doctor's appt is coming in 2 days and im pretty sure i don't have a uti. I noticed yesterday when i wiped real blood and got excited because that's the first time i have seen it in literally months. I thought for sure it would come on even tried to knock it on by bd (tmi sorry) but it was short lived and just as quickly as i saw it i haven't any more. I will give an update with what the doctor says.
