Hi Everyone!
I am new this TTC thing! I am 34 years old with PCOS and very irregular periods. I went to the doctor and was given a shot to induce my period and given a prescription for Clomid. I got my period from 6/13-16. I followed the doctors instructions and have been taking my basal temperature and I started my 5 days of Clomid on the second day (14th) of my cycle.

Now, they said I should start doing ovulation testing today (24th), the 12th day of my cycle. I have been using the Wondfo strips. Out of curiosity, I have been using the strips the whole time. I did see an obvious progression of the lines getting darker. Now, the lines seem to be getting lighter. I'm so confused.

On Saturday, the 21st, I saw the darkest line on the ovulation test strip that I have seen the whole time I have been testing, although it was not as dark as the control line and I was having "twinges" of "pain" on my left side. We had sex that night. My bbt seemed to reach it's highest the next day (the 22nd) and has been going down since. I never saw a real big peak line like on sample tests. Is it possible that I was ovulating and could become pregnant? I wish I could be so lucky! Any insight would be helpful!!

That sounds like ovulation to me - some women experience the twinges right when o'ing.
I'm on my first cycle of using OPKs and I've never done that whole temping thing.
Hope someone with a little more insight can help you - but it looks promising!

Fingers crossed and babydust to you :)

Thank you so much maggz! Babydust to you too! Which OPK's are you using?

Well funny story I ordered them off amazon - the cheapo ones - but put in a wrong address (stupid, stupid, stupid) so I ended up going to Target and getting the sticks that look like prego tests... I think it's a Target brand up & up or something like that..

Ahh OK! I also made a mistake when I bought them the first time! I bought the sticks from ClearBlue and I didn't know you had to buy the digital reader too! So, I wound up buying the current ones I'm using (Wondfo) from Amazon. Now I am stuck with the other ones too until I shell out more money to buy the digital thingy that goes with it, because I opened it (duh) and couldn't return it!

Lol oops! :haha:
Is there no way to read it without the digital thing?

Not to my knowledge. You have to pee on the sticks and then I think insert them into the reader. The cheap ones I use now, you just see if the line is dark enough as per directions.

From my understanding, in order to confirm O you have to see a temp shift for 3 days. What you're describing sounds like O with the pain and all, but it might not be too. Since your temps didn't rise and stay up, that leads me to think you maybe didn't O. I've see my O test strips get darker sometimes before without actually seeing O on my chart until later. But of course I can't tell you for sure! If it were me I'd keep trying in case it hasn't happened yet.
I hope it works out for you!!

I went to the doctor this morning to see what is happening with this cycle. My bbt is still declining as of this a.m. They did an ultrasound and Progesterone level. So, we will see what's happening later today when the nurse calls.

Update.... So, nothing is happening :( I haven't ovulated and my progesterone hadn't gone up. They want me to go back Friday morning to do the same thing again (blood and ultrasound). If still nothing, then next cycle, they well probably increase me to 100mg Clomid a day. I guess this is the part that I start to feel sad.

Don't feel sad! At least you're on top of things and doing something about it - progress!
I know it sucks though, sorry they didn't have better news for you :hugs:

Aw, yeah I'm sorry that's hard when your body just isn't working how you want it to work! But yeah it's good you're doing something about it and hopefully it'll still work out this cycle. Wishing you the best!!
