Newbie! Just stopped pill, no sign of AF yet....??

Hi Ladies

This forum is so exciting seeing everyones journey and that I am not the only one going mad!! Cant stop looking at baby shops, clothes, cots, prams etc!!

I got married last June, hubby and I decided to come off pill end of May this year so stopped 6th June and had withdrawal from 10th-14th June, then I had some spotting on 19th June? (does this mean anything?)
So now just waiting on first proper AF to appear.... if its the same 28 day cycle as my pill it should have came yesterday? Or am I wrong? how long did you wait for yours?

My stomach is bloated, felt dizzy, banging sore head every morning but think this might just be from stopping pill.

Anyone in a similiar position? Any advice appreciated

hi there. the spotting is probably your body gettin used to not having the pills. i was on birth control for 6 years came off october last year. my first af after withdrawl was 28 days but since then they have been between 34-39 days. everyone is different though. good luck.

it takes a long time before your body becomes what will be normal for you.
i bleed for a few months very lightly or people can have nothing for months and months.

as the pill makes you have a peroid ,when you stop for the week its not a natural peroid so now you body and hormones will be all over the place until the eventually settle x

Thanks Clare, it seems everyone is different so just need to see what happens!

I did try ovulation tests around mid cycle but nothing showed up 5 days in a row so gave up again lol.... thanks for your reply

sometimes you have to do 2 weeks worth of opks espesh if you have a long cycle like mine, 34 days and i start at 16 and have to keep going.

Thanks think ill wait till first proper Af comes, does the first day of Af count as CD1?? xxx

it sure does, it has to be proper blood tho not spotting then thats cd1

yeah rather than waste the money on them id wait till you get your peroid.
and the advise i can give is once youve finished your peroid try and have sex every other day so you have the best chance x

cool thanks i read on some posts that people are doing preg tests on dpo 14 etc what is dpo and also when is the two week wait?? sorry for all the questions its just hard to work out .... i am new

no problems with the questions.

when people get a positive on the ovulation tests (opks) it shows that are you due to ovulate (O) in the nest 24-36 hours.
then that is your 2 week wait, as you can tell your pregnant from around 10 days after ovulation, so (DPO) days past O x

there was a thread saying predictions try it just for fun, and it took you to a website and asked you random questions and then they tel you , its just a bit of fun really, maybe google madame zaritska x

so how old are you and bf? husband? x both me and hubby are nearly 26 x

Ha! I was just looking back some of your posts because and saw the madame thing Well also I noticed how long you were married and how long ago you met your hubby and I am quite similiar! we have been together 10 years come september and been married 1 year and 2 weeks!!

I am 27 and hubby will be 28 end of this month so we are similiar ages to you guys your are a teeny bit younger tho lol.

So how is your TTC going I see its 11 months, were you on the pill before??

yeah i cant believe we have nearly been married for 2 years its gone crazily fast.

yes i coz on the pill and came off in october 2009 when we got back from our honeymoon so i came off quite awhile before we started trying.
some people fall the 1st month of coming off the pill others dont, so try and it could be successful for you.

but to be honest i think that if you fall the 1st month it doesnt give you the experience that trying does, and each month we try the more i realsie how much we want a baby and can have love for a baby, also you see alot of women on here that fell 1st time with there 1st then when trying for there 2nd it takes ages and its more frustrating for them x

im currently waiting to have my cycle day 21 blood test to see if i ovulate and got ultra sound on monday morning to see if i have any tube blockage x
