Hello guys!

I'm new here, I'm Lauren and me and my fiance are trying ttc #1!!!!
I am soo excited to start trying but have no idea what to expect,
Had my implant removed weds and dtd a few times over the weekend  but unfortunately as my partner is military, wont see him now for around 3 weeks :-( bit hopeful to think i may have conceived that quickly!
But we're both young and healthy so hoping for a quick conception :-)

So that's me :-) anyone else in the same position? How long did it take you to conceive after implanon removal?

Also excuse me if i don't understand some of the abbreviations some people use on here :dohh:

Look forward to hearing from you guys :D
xx

Hi LaurenH2B

Welcome to Baby and Bump, congratulations on your TTC adventure :happydance:

I'm a newbie too, I joined yesterday but I had my Implanon out in November last year, it was my third and it sent my hormones crazy all the time. I want back on the pill for 2 months and then myself and hubby decided in January that we would TTC for #1.

We're on our fifth cycle now and no luck as of yet, I've just started properly charting and I think I ovulate late in my cycle which I didn't realise until now! I did genuinely think we'd do it once unprotected and BOOM it would happen. I was gutted when it didn't - I mostly blame the overzealous sex education I had at high school!

Are you considering charting at all? or taking your temperature/ovulation testing? Maybe with your other half in the military it might help to narrow down exactly in your cycle when is best to DTD?

NK x

Hi both

I'm new to the TTC forum too. I got married last year and we were going to TTC but had to put on hold because i had to wait for a promotion in work to be made permanent.

I am really excited but also nervous as well.

I really hope this month we all get our BFP. :happydance:

What day of your cycle are you both on?

Hi :)

I'm on CD16 and I've ovulated either today or yesterday which is good :) dreading the 2 week wait!! I was using an app before I signed up here, turns out it was charting my ovulation completely wrong. So much wasted time.

Fingers X'd for BFPs all round this month, if it doesn't happen now just keep charting and staying positive!

NK xx

Haven't started charting or doing temps or ovulation tests as i haven't had a period since i've been on the implant! Maybe will start but to be honest have no idea where or how to begin!
So should i wait for my first period (assuming im not pregnant already- i wish) and then where do i go from there?

Thanks ladies :D

LaurenH2B - apparently you can get pregnant straight after having implant removed and then you test 3 weeks later if AF doesn't arrive - so no harm in trying. If AF does arrive then it might be worth buying some OPK to start tracking O.

Good luck hope this is your month x

Nk - I have started to use OPK thus month but I can usually tell when I'm about to O by CM and BBs starts to hurt.

Positive thinking all the way but I think I will send myself crazy during TWW.

Have you tried SMEP on your TTC journey x

Thank you x and maybe, just don't wanna get my hopes up to then be disappointed if/when af arrives! But if i dont get af by the end of the month then i'll test, if i do i may start to track ovulation !

Good luck to you guys xx

Think of it as a positive either way if AF doesn't come then you are looking at a BFP but if AF arrives it means ur cycle has returned to normal so you can start tracking x

Bowmans is totally right LaurenH2B, either way it's a positive situation for you right now :)

I hadn't heard of SMEP until you mentioned it above. I gave it a quick google and I might give it a go on the next cycle, but ultimately I'm hoping I won't be having a next cycle for a while if you get me ;)

Yeah i guess either will mean i'm well on my way!
Looking forward to finding out! No af as of yet, still praying there won't be!

Hello,

I had my Implanon removed the end of May. I had spotting 3 days later, and I wasn't too sure if it was actually a AF, while I was on the implanon my AF lasted 5 days, but it had only lasted 3 days. In April I spotted again and lasted 3 days. During that time I was taking ovulation test but I wasn't consistent. In May, I didn't spot at all, took a pregnancy test and got a negative. I tested again two weeks later and still got a negative. The week of June 16th, my breasts were tender, and I never experienced that with any of my AF even before and after the Implanon. However, I did experience it with my first pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test on the 22nd and got a positive. Had an ultrasound on the 25th to confirm I am indeed pregnant. All we could see was the Gestational sac so we can't really determine how far along I am yet. My next appointment is in 4 weeks. So, really it took three months for me to get pregnant. I hope this helps and good luck!
