Newborn groans a lot?

I know newborns are surprisingly noisy, but my 3 week old is very groany! He cries infrequently, and really only ever a single wail at a time. My first cried a lot, so this is very different. This one just moans and groans. Both when he's unhappy and seemingly perfectly settled alseep in our arms. Little groans escape a lot!

Anyone else have a groaner?

Mine did, do you think it could just be gas? Poor little ones can't push it out well at that age :flower:

Mine did too. Turned out he was incredibly gassy. Same with you, he would be fine in my arms but not anywhere else. Maybe some gas drops? They worked for me for a while.

Mine was the same. They make such strange noises! It's probably gas.

My dd is 2 weeks and she grunts so much! It's especially bad in the early morning hours. Last night she grunted from 2-5 am. Then a bit more 6-8 am. Ugh! My first grunted in her sleep to I remember but I think she stopped relatively soon. I'm looking forward to her getting through the newborn stage, it's rough lol.
