My dd currently loves to walk holding my hands, and is getting quite confident. She can stand holding onto the sofa and will be cruising soon I think. I've been leaving her barefoot as much as possible but it's starting to get colder now so I'm wondering what the next best thing is.
We don't have carpet at all, we have laminate flooring instead and if she's wearing socks or tights she tends to slip a lot.
What would you buy to keep her feet warm and give her some grip but without damaging her feet? My boys were both barefoot until they were walking but that was during spring/summer so it wasn't an issue.

Grippy socks! They have little rubber blobs on the bottom, like those Tote slipper sock things everyone used to wear in the 90s lol.

If you're in the UK, you can usually pick up a pack of 5 or so for a few quid in Sainsbury's.

Other than that, you can get her fitted for pre-walkers, which are soft, flexible shoes that allow the baby to feel the floor while providing a little extra protection and getting them used to wearing shoes.

You can get grippy soled tights too :) I got mine from jojo mama but I bet you can get them cheaper.

My lo has started cruising too! I wasn't expecting it this soon as her big brother took around 3 months longer

We just left our daughter barefoot or in socks and kept the house a reasonable temperature. As long as it's a comfortable temperature in your house, you probably don't need to worry too much about keeping her feet warm as long as the rest of her is warm. I also found that when we did use socks (our daughter was at the cruising stage over the winter - November until May), she adjusted just fine and never had an incident where she slipped, whether on laminate or wood floors. If you can get the grippy socks though and they stay on, those are good too, but we really just used normal socks or barefeet and that was fine. For outside, we kept her in socks with nappy bags tied over them and then another layer of old socks on top and that worked all winter.

Have you seen those crawlerz onesies? Bit of an expensive option but they look like they'd be good for around the house.

Grippy socks/tights. Jojo Maman Bebe are the best, I've found, they stay on so well. Boden are pretty good too (my parents buy her those, lol). Now the weather is cooling down, I've just ordered her a pair of knitted slippers from jojo, actually  But she is almost 11m and has been walking since 8.5m, so is really steady now.

Or little suede soled moccasins - we had a pair of Robeez from Amazon...so cute :D We got those for outside, actually, because I didn't want to get her even pre-walkers until she'd been on her feet a good few weeks, but it was the middle of summer and she wanted to be in the garden and trotting about on the grass.

We have laminate and tile on most of the downstairs and my Mum is petrified that DD will slip and crack her head open on it but she never has; whenever she's toppled she's caught herself and never really got more than a fright. She's bumped her head when toddling on the carpet, though
