Hey ladies :)

well i thought i've moaned so much about a botched d and c i had last year after losing my little angel that i thought i'd give praise where neccessary

I am 10 weeks pregnant and had my first scan at 4 weeks- they couldn't see anything, this was due to bleeding and was arranged by my Dr. The epu lady at the hospital then arrnaged for me to be re scanned at 5+3 where they could see the pregnancy sac :happydance:

i was then re scanned at 7+3 to check for viable heartbeat which was there and fine! :cloud9:

then tuesday alst week i started getting tummy ache and wasnt throwing up as much so i phoned the epu at around 11pm thursday and had a scan at 14.20 the same day, at 9+2 and i could see my LO moving around :cloud9:

turns out i have a water infection though :dohh:

they said they will scan me at 11 weeks and then my dating scan at 13 weeks, and probably again in between 13 and my 20 week scan. the lady was lovely to me and said anything they can do to make me not so anxious they will.

so i just wanted to give a little appreciation to the staff at my hospital as they are making this far less worrying for me :happydance:

xxxx

That's great sparklestar. I have similarly had good help from my local NHS, and it is making a big difference. I think I am going to write to the EPU to say thanks, as bet they mainly get complaints!

i thought exactly that you know, but i'll write once my baby is here :)

i bet they get loads of complaints! xx

wow thats great.
Im going docs wednesday and going to ask about early scans and having them regular, I hope i get what your having ! Im a nervous wreck and need a early scan to calm myself down.

Hey hun I am having fantstic service as well.

HAd bloods done one scan at 5 weeks ( couldnt see anything though :( ) Second scan this Friday and Second midwife appointment on Thursday!

Thats great hun that they are taking extra care of you and that you feel more reassured. Even though my care with the epu was already planned before I got pg (fortnightly scans til 14 weeks) at my 1st scan they were so lovely and once I reach 14 weeks and get passed onto consultant care I will be sending them a thank you card. x

its really nice that other people are receiving good care too. lets hope all our little beans get here!!!! xxxxx

Aw, glad they are looking after you. Mine have been fantastic too, must admit there have been times where I've complained at waiting times for other things etc but they took wonderful care of my Dad and they are being great with me too. I had I don't know how many scans from 5 - 18 weeks, they even scanned me on the day I lost last time and have offered me 2 more reassurance scans at 28 and 32 weeks.

my epu are wonderful, with this pregnancy, and also my m/c last year, they were so lovely and supportive with my m/c (molar, so involved a LOT of appointments and scans) my hubby and i bought them a massive tin of fancy biscuits to say thanks, not much, but they were so happy and appreciative!
