Hi Ladies,

I'm on my last iui cycle and they are completing my forms for NHS funding, just a few questions for if anyone has used Nottingham...

The stats on HEFA indicate Care is a better choice at 41% an Nurture is 37% but these are from 2010...

Also, for NHS funded do you still have to pay for the fertility drugs?

Anyone know what the current waiting time is?

Hi there I was treated at nurture privately so can't comment on their NHS funded policy but I can't imagine you have to pay for drugs. Nurture success rates for my age bracket (under35) were higher than care so we went with them and our treatment worked first time they also have a better rate for frozen trf which you might want to think about as funded courses are costly ( hopefully you won't need that though ). I don't think it's very personal but I'd take rates over personables any day which ever you choose why not think about adding Accupuncture as a support tool it made a big difference to me ( see my thread bfp success story with Accupuncture )

I'm going with nurture - the nurse basically gold us to go onto the government website fir ivf and look at the the take home baby rate. And said without saying the figures can be changed dependant on the month they take the figures from.

If your nhs funded drugs are free. We git our initial appt at qmc on 7th Jan. Now git our second appt with nurture consultant on the 18th March for specifics in our treatment. I've had bloods for hiv, hep b & c. Hubby got to have his done as he couldn't make my appt. I hadn't internal scan too,, so once your on the federal it happens very quickly - took longer for us cause I had to kick hubby up arse to get him to give his second sperm sample!

Thanks Ladies...

I'm thinking Nurture based on the results but if you go on certain websites CARE is higher...It seems like they're all using the years they were more successful!!

Psoph when you say initial apt with QMC was that your referral from your drs? We've been within the QMC fertility unit for a year now having IUI so I'm guessing our initial consultation will be straight to Nurture?
