Just wondering just incase i cant BF about the night feeds? I'm 29 weeks pregnant with first peanut and don't have a clue :shrug:!

Do you take LO downstairs with you and get the bottle ready/warmed?

Or does your bodyclock wake up before LO starts crying so you do it then?

I have feeds made up and in the fridge waiting. then when lo wakes just heat for 30secs in microwave and its ready for her to have. i leave her in her cot whilst i get it and feed her in her room with small nightlight on x

I take 3 bottles with water upstairs with me and pre measured powder in a dispenser. He doesn't like it too warm so room temp is fine

We cosleep so when I hear him starting to stir I will get up and go grab the bottle then come back and give it to him if hes awake or ill leave it by the bed till he awakes, which isnt too long later. He will move more, stretch, make noise before he will start to cry so I just get it ready before it gets to that point!

I make up the bottle fresh, so boil kettle, pop powder in bottle add 3oz of boiling water then make it up to 7oz with 4oz of cold water out the fridge so its the right temperature. xx

Make bottles up, leave them in the fridge. I'm a light sleeper so when she starts to stir, I get up and pop the kettle on, use the loo, bottle warms while I change her bum. Either sit in the bedroom with the hall light on, or sit in the PC chair. Shes normally back to sleep within half an hour.

I co-sleep. I make up 2 bottles with boiling water before bed. Measure out the powder into a dispenser. And then I just mix it up and give it to my LO when she wakes up without warming it as she doesnt care about temperature.

Do all babies from newborn have to have their milk warmed or can it be freshly made and then at room temp?

If any - regarding room temp how long is it okay at room temp before going 'bad' as they say or too warm if i put the heating on etc?

hmmm...not sure. I breast fed for 15 weeks before having to combi-feed. (my LO was having major trouble with the amount of lactose I have in my milk) so now my LO is a little more robust I am more relaxed with the preparation of feeds.

Could have been reading about myself!!!! This was my routine for night feeds when LO was having them

I have only properly started using formula but for night time we use the premade cartons.

Thanks ladies :)..

Just the thought of going downstairs at the end of Dec in the freezing cold half asleep making a feed is my worse nightmare ever. Not becase of the baby just the pure coldness haha :(!

Hopefully peanut will breastfeed :)
