Hey Ladies,

I'm trying to figure out the NK Cell results I have.
I'm going to be following up with my RE but I have trouble finding much online by google. And I mean by doctors in articles mentioning what's normal & what's not.

Can any of you ladies interpret how bad this is?

NK Cells are Increased
Clinical Correlation is Recommended

Thanks!

I'm not sure what the results mean, but I was tested, too! My doc told me I did not need to be treated, but that it's good to be tested.

He also said that if it came back saying I needed treatment, then there were solutions. He insured me that a few infusions to help decrease the Nk would suffice. Good luck!

how do i go about getting tested for his? I have endo stage II and had asked my OB about the immune issues since i experienced a blighted ovum 06/2013 and she said there's nothing that can be done if u have immune problems but ive read NK cells are high in women with endometriosis so now im worried =(

hello 8longyears....I went to a Fertility Doctor & she requisitioned the blood work.
Have you gone to an RE to get a bunch of tests done? I'd recommend it!

Hi Bebecake, I've read that there are solutions too but the meds have their own risks and I'm nervous about it.
I guess no point in stressing too much unless there is smth to worry about.

This is an older post , i decided to give up on TTC for a few months. I am now back at it though tracking cycles, peeing on sticks & keeping my fingers crossed!! I have seen a fertility dr who pretty much told me its all unexplained, they ran a bunch of different test but never the NK cells one! me and the hubby have both done alot of blood test though, i need to mention the NK cells!! I had said something to the nurse after my blighted ovum about Nk and autoimmune disorders wondering if theres anything that can be done to look further into those and she acted as if there was NOT. hmmmm..

I will be looking more into this..
any updates barb?? did you get your results figured out by now i hope? I would love to hear the results!!!

I wish you luck! Some times it's just some thing you can't quite figure out yet. Have you considered trying IUI?
Well, turns out last year I got an infection & scarred both my tubes badly so I had them removed in December & I'm on my second IVF cycle which I already know has failed so I'm planning for our third IVF. Thanks for asking!
xo

:hugs: barb I am sorry for what you have been through and are going through.

Is your doctor treating the NKC when you have your IVF? Probably a silly question.

I have elevated NKC x

Elevated NK that means most likely you have an immune disorder. Most of the time they put you on steroids, blood thinners and sometimes intralipid (spelling) for treatment.

Before doing your 3 IVF I would really look into it. If you haven't heard anything about it just start researching with Dr. Beers name. Of course since you posted this so long ago you probably already have I just wanted to be helpful.

Hi there!
I was already tested for NK cells & dont have an issue.
