So i've been doing these ovulation tests for two months now...and i thought i must just be missing the surge, then i start reading posts that say they 'have faint lines but not a dark one' for DAYS?? I've had no lines, nothing what so ever.
I tested on about 10 consecutive days each month, usually around 3p-6pm each day.

Any ideas?
I'm going to test during my period this month!

I've heard that those tests just don't work for some women. I never used them myself so don't have much information for you. Hopefully some of the other girls can help you out more

My sister used OPKs every day for a month and didnt get anything on them - yet she fell preg that very same month!
I dont think everyone gets along with them.

i have used them this month for the first time and i got a positive surge the day before i was meant to ovulate, i think they just work some women and not for others.

Unfortunatley there is a small percentage of women where opks tests just dont work.

Do you not even get the test line up that shows it has worked?

hmmm, are you sure youve followed the instructions properly. On my instructions it says that if you get no line at all it means somethings gone wrong and to try again?....

Are you letting it get room temp? Dipping in for correct amount of time? Lying flat? Leaving for correct amount of time before reading??

I have just started to use OPK this month and ave had no surge as yet, although only on CD11, so not expected yet.
Alas, if they don't work for you there are a few other ways of pin-pointing your ovulation that some other gals use on here...so don't dismay if they don't work for you at all!!!!!:hi:

Maybe worth trying to do a bit earlier.

I too am trying OPKs at the mo and I was finding that testing to a similar time to you I was not getting anything either, even if i didn't drimk all afternoon. Knew I'd od as had temp peak etc when charting.

Last month I tried doing around 12-1 pm and did get a line that got darker at one point but not as dark as test line.

So I would maybe try doing around lunchtime next month.

Best bet is to test twice a day from about CD6. Sometimes is the only way to catch it. Either that or wait until you have other symptoms and then get your POAS fix as regularly as you can afford.

I used them 2 months in a row and most times got no line and on a couple of occassions got a very faint line i've now give up with them, i even tried testing twice a day when i had loads of EWCM and still nothing!
