About four days ago we switched from combi feeding high cal formula to just bm. He has had two bowel movements like this (once 2.5 days ago then this one). It's so different from his combi feed poops that I worry maybe it's not normal. Should an exclusively breast fed baby poop this infrequently and look like this? The consistency reminds me of organic smooth peanut butter. Comes out fast and gives the poor guy a startle :(. He'll scream bloody murder, which he never did with his other poops, until the new diaper is on. Thanks!

V had poop like that after dealing with constipation. Her poop has returned to seedy and a yellowish brown

Looks normal to me. Diarrhoea would be very foul smelling, and possibly mucussy. When my LO had diarrhoea it literally looked like someone had poured a semi-beaten raw egg in to her nappy and it smelled like it was rotten!

That looks normal. Breastfed baby poops are quite runny in consistency!

Tysm! It's been 20 years since I've been around newborns so I don't remember anything :)
