Hi Ladies,

My DH and I have been TTC#2 for 10 cycles now unsuccessfully, of course. I am trying to see if we should do some testing. This seems like the most educated group of ladies!

Any and all info would be soooooo appreciated.

Me in a nutshell:
Cycle lasts 22-27 days, 25 day average.
LP is NEVER more than 13 days, range of 11-13.
BBT's are always biphasic and easy to follow. (Means I'm Ov'ing right?)
I'm taking prenatals, but doing some research on other fertility boosters.
DH not taking any vitamins.
We are both healthy and active.
DH is 33, I'm 30.
Took 5 cycles to conceive our sweet Laney

Advice anyone? Fertility aids/vitamins? Testing?

Your LP is fine it should be between 9 and 16 days, no more no less. Temps may tell you, you are ovulating but they can't tell you how well you are ovulating, i.e. the quality/size of follicle and whether or not your corpus luteum is producing enough progesterone.

I though I was ovulating by my bloods, but a specialist says it not a good enough ovulation. I have since been put on Femara to help develop the follicles (and produce good eggs) then I have shots of HCG to help release the egg and support the corpus luteum to produce enough progesterone to support a pregnancy should it occur.

One of the ladies who is on their 2nd or 3rd etc would be better help, as I'm only familiar with primary infertility. I wouldn't rely on temps though, they can give false reassurance. Good luck xx

I conceived my first two fairly easy. Now I'm on 2 years of TTC #3....its so far been 24 cycles. I would ask for some testing from the doctors if you feel something isn't right thats what we have done. Took two doctors to finally receive a referral to a fertility specialist and we see him next month. Pretty much in my opinion we just shot from the hip and said "something feels diff this time...something isn't right" my cycles had changed from before etc. DH checked out just fine and I did pretty much we are unexplained secondary fertility.

Sounds like you are ovulating on your own...have you tried OPK's (ovulation predictor kits) they may help you more on your Ovulation dates....preseed is good I'd say continue it if you like using it ....I use it as well.

But again if you "feel something isn't right" then I'd go get a fertility check up and some blood work to make sure your hormones are right on track!!


I also had an HSG to make sure both tubes were open in August and my left was blocked but the dye opened it right on up! So in that aspect we are good as well.....
