Hi girls
I'm not sure if I really belong in here at the moment My DH has mental health issues (he experiences dissociative periods where he can't remember what he's done and has PTSD stemming from his own childhood sexual abuse) and we're not currently living together. He's done some awful things when he's in a dissociative period. Although he's never hurt our daughter and has not directly hurt me (apart from going on dating style websites while dissociating), the things he has done have turned our lives upside down. I've had a psychiatric report done which says that his condition is curable but we're looking at a minimum of 3 years and at the moment at least he poses a risk to our daughter because of the condition
So we're not living together and we're not going to be for the forseeable future at the very least and after how much he's hurt me, I don't know where we stand anyway. If we were ever to get totally back together, we'd have a large number of issues to sort out. So I don't know where we are.
But the result of it is that I'm a single parent because I'm taking care of Aisling on my own and he can't help out unless I'm there so I don't get a break.
So not sure if I belong because things aren't acrimonious and we'll always be very good friends at the very least...
