Not ttc really..though it may hinder it. I hope not.

I have god awful bladder infection. Im in so much pain, it hurts to breathe. Anyone know anything natural they may help cure it alone faster and feel better. I really dont want an infection down there to hinder anything good that might go on, you know?

Thanks in advance....

im on anti biotics but its a slow heal so far...

Hi Just hoping, I seem to get UTI's everytime I go on vacation. i never get full blown bladder infections but either way it's not nice. I've flown on a plane back from Scotland, Cuba and Hawaii now with UTI's. The only thing that made it feel better was drinking water constantly and cranberry juice is supposed to be really great for the whole system. I also just got back from shopping and picked up some probiotics/acidophilous which is good bacteria for your system.
On that note there was another thread today where someone posted an article on autism being associated with a fetus developing in mom with bad gut flora. I haven't read it but I'm going to!
I hope you feel better soon!

thanks..I get them so bad and alot too. Seems you do as well. Oh my, I used to live in Scotland and many a time flown back and forth with those darn things. Not very comfy to say the least! Defiantly got the cranberry juice and been drinking loads hoping to flush this thing away.,..
I'm on pro b already my gyn recommended it because I get uit's and yeast infections pretty easy. I have to say with the pro b compared to some other pro biotic I really have seen a bit of relief :)..
More water?? I actually did not think of that. Yes lol, i know for other infections but I always thought that plane water may irritate it that is why i am downing cranberry. Thanks, I will definitely up the water intake and see how it feels :)..

Again thanks and if anyone knows another trick to make this bad bugger go faster and feel better faster please don't hesitate...

never heard about yeast infections maybe causing autism. Thanks, im going to look into that.

There is an over-the-counter medication called Pyridium/phenazopyridine that will numb your urinary tract. Be warned, it turns your urine bright orange! It's is a God-send, though. Pure cranberry juice, not cocktail, also inhibits further bacterial growth in the bladder. I hope you get better soon!

I had no idea it inhibited bacterial growth, these forums are great!! Well the people on it is what really makes it :)

Thanks..I love pyridium and there is another that I love, cystix...this one does not turn you orange :), both are great!

Yep! :) It has to do with making your bladder a more hostile environment, so the bacteria can't reproduce.

Best get the one that doesn't stain, then, as you might have an orange toilet bowl!

ew, lol among other orange things hehe,.;)

Just a head's up... You may want to go back and get on a different antibiotic. A few months ago I ended up in ER with a fever of 104. I have never felt so horrible. I had started an antibiotic already but didn't seem to be helping and then I got much worse. I guess I'm resistant to that particular one. That Uti came back a couple weeks later and I got on a different antibiotic - that finally nipped it in the bud.

I feel for ya hun! Those are so awful! Take tylonol, cranberry capsuls and drink a ridiculous amount of plain water. Drink till your pee is clear. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and sugar.

I don't have any tricks but have written some down, I get one UTI a year and ladies, dunno how you do it to drink stuff because when I get them.. I get them bad to the point nothing ocmes out except blood and it develops within a matter of hours. I end up at the hospital i ntears feeling i had held in a piss for 48 hours..sadly got it passed down from my mom the re accuring UTI's.

Speedy recovery justhoping :hugs:

It's agony. I get blood sometimes too. Used to get them all the time now I get 2-3 a year. I just force myself to drink and then at least something comes out. I take pain med too when I get them.

I have a friend that puts a couple of teaspoons of baking soda into a glass of water and drinks it. She says it works like magic. Must taste terrible though. Blech!

I had one several months ago and it took a good few days for the antibiotics to start working. It wasn't fun.

Sorry you feel so badly.

Still suffering, so Ill look into anything at this point. Thank you

I really think you should go in for a 2nd opinion to change your anti biotics. When I get them, they work within hours

By Monday if Im not showing any signs I will call in. With me it usually takes a bit as I have bacterial IntercyctiAl cystis, you tend to get alot of uit;s with that and they tend to last longer. Not sure because of the inflammation or its because with this your always on anti biotic s ever few weeks for an infection. Thanks for looking out for me though. I asked about it on here because so many women know so much about the natural stuff. I'm trying to move more in that direction for everything myself with my doctors approval of course :)

Yea it could be as simple as your body becoming immune to them so a stronger one would probably be in order and a different one. Although in the field of IntercyctiAl cystis I'm completely clueless. Good luck and speedy recovery! Worst thing to ever happen to me was having one start at 11:30pm right after my parents had gone to bed and had to wait until 5:30am for them to bring me to the hospital..needless to say I didn't get a wink of sleep (I was 16 at the time)

yea they are pretty painful, I have gone through so much cranberry juice trying to keep the pain under control. This is the first time Im drinking so much to keep the pain away. I would normally reach for a pain killer. Its helped some. It was originally bleeding but that stopped so im inclined to think it is healing. Just slow :)

From the sounds of it though, because I've never had a bladder infection only UTI's that the whole cranberry juice thing helps because it's the bladder itself. For me it's always the track so it's my bladder that gets full but the tubing to let it go is what gets infected with me which is why i was trying to figure out how drinking so much would help lol but I think with UTI's it would only make it worse. Oh well, will keep the tricks in mind next time a UTI comes around! thanks ladies. Glad this thread was posted, not for you though justhoping lol I just mean I gained some knowledge here. :hugs:

helps me because I get the bladder infection and uti together so the cranberry helps a bit. HTH explain.. and again thank you everyone for your help
