NT measurement of 2.3mm at 13 weeks 1 day, normal? or should I worry? :(

I went for my NT scan today , I have to wait 10 Days for my blood results but my NT measurement was 2.3. I heard 2.5 to 3 is normal but I'm really paranoid about EVERYTHING as my last pregnancy it came high risk 1;65 & had a missed miscarriage after seeing the heatbeat at 12 weeks 5 days! Has anyone else had a measurement over 2 & everything turn out fine?? X

i thought it was a measurement of 2.5> that put baby at a higher risk. try not to worry. x

Yeah I heard that 2. My midwife says its fine & 'within' the norm but just seems a little high to me !! X

That's in the normal range so I don't think you have anything to worry about. When I had mine done (13w3d) and the doctor told me my number I asked what it meant and he said any number under 2.5 was normal.

I had the MaterniT21 test due to my age and while on that forum a lot of women had numbers higher than yours and everything was just fine with baby.

Try not to worry hun. I am having a similar problem but instead her now Nuchal Fold is measuring to small. When they gave me the within normal limits anything greater than 2.5 mm was something to think about. Also if the baby is laying in a difficult position or being uncooperative this can alter the measurements.

I thought it was the smaller the better. Mine was like 1.2mm or something and I got a really good score back and everything looks great with my little girl now. Xxx

Yeah it is the smaller the better, that's why I'm worried how many weeks were you when you had your NT cupcake?? & thanks for your comments ladies-re-assuring! X

hi hun my conographer said anything under 3.6 is normal mine was 1.6 but she said so many conditions have to be totally right to get it right. she wiggled my belly to get baby to bounce off the uterus wall and baby chin cant ben touching its chest and they have to be able to see the nose and a certain part of the brain. all this has to be present for the NT to be accurate

Just checked my notes for you.

I was 12+3 NT was 1.20mm and CRL was 58mm.

Which is mad as that's the width her head is now - they grow so fast!

Anything under 3.0 is normal. Mine was 1.2.

i read that since you had the test done towards the end (they will only do it up to 13 weeks 6 days) that the fold is going to be bigger because the baby is bigger. i went for the test and the tech didnt even tell me my number...she just said it looked fine from the ultrasound, but we need to get the blood results back still. i think you are fine

I had mines done at 13 weeks 3 days and mines around 2. Something so I think the bigger the baby maybe bigger the measurement! And my results came back totally normal!

got my results back. low risk 1:2000 which is lower than my age group (19) which is 1:1500 so i guess 2.3 is normal at 13 weeks x
