Nub? (Not a gender guess thread)

I hope this is okay to post here, I'm not asking for gender guesses (90% of people guess girl across the forms I've posted on). What I want to know is if anyone is familiar with nub placement. Why does mine look so much different than others I've seen? Most I've seen protrude out, mine appears to stop close to the body. The only ones I can find that are a bit similar to mine all have the legs up and bent like mine. Do you think leg placement has something to do with how the nub is seen via ultrasound? Anyone have a scan that looks similar to mine in regards to nub placement? Pic was taken at 12 weeks 4 days.

I think leg placement has a lot to do with how the nub is seen, I've looked back at all 4 of my previous pregnancys and there isn't nub in any of them, last pregnancy I even asked the techs on Ingender and they also couldn't see anything, one did lean girl slightly but that was it.
This time the nub was clear, although I actually didn't realise it was the nub until I posted it and all the techs guessed boy, some 95-100%, found out they was right yesterday.

Hope you get your little girl and she's just being shy/awkward like my previous 4 lol. When do you find out?

Sorry to ask, but what is a nub?

The nub is the protrusion between the legs that both girls and boys have before the actual stuff is formed. Some say you can tell if it's a girl or a boy by the angle of it.

I find out Jan 16th! The tech and some 'experts' on sites all said this is the nub, I think it just looks different because of how the legs are positioned?

I was going to say...maybe you're comparing boy nubs to your girl, or vice versa? I never understood nub, nor did I get a 12 week scan that would show nub, so sorry I can't help.

All of the ones I posted are all girls. I really hope it's a girl!!

I wouldn't put too much weight on comparing the nub to other fetuses nubs. your doctor would've told you if something was wrong
