I bought 2 NUK bottles just on a whim yday.
They are the tall narrow ones with coloured tops and clear orthodontic teat to feed like a nipple. They also have air valve to help with colic.
They came with medium flow as standard.
My little one has awful wind and bad colic. We had been using Dr Browns for 4wks.
Used the NUK for 3 feeds today.
It takes half an hour to get 4oz (if she finishes it) into her!! 10mins in a Dr Browns.
Im a happy mum though as she has no wind and fell asleep easily afterwards, no crying, no sick.
Looking forward to the colic test..
My question, does anyone else find that they take forever? Boots didnt have other teats to choose from so not sure what is available..
In my opinion way better than Dr Browns and they were a life saver with my son 6yrs ago!

I found NUK to be amazing and LO drank quicker than anything else. Perhaps its just adjusting to change?

there are large hole teats but are very large lo milk pored out of it lol or there is a 6month plus teats which r bigger NUK are great

My health visitor advised me today to buy the NUK bottles :)
She said from what she knows they seem to be the best..BUt she said they are expensive, how much did you pay for your bottles if you dont mind me asking?xx

I bought mine from a large boots. 3 pack @ £14.99. So appx the same cost as the Dr Browns.
Went to an even larger boots today, they still only had the orange/yellow latex teats for older babies and they looked huge. Too big for a 7wk old mouth.
We are still using them,it takes about 20mins now. I think perhaps ella was :
a) confusing the shape of teat with her dummy
b) as a result squashing the teat and restricting milk flow
c) so used to being flooded with Dr Browns she can now relax (and nod off)
Whatever the reason her wind issues AND the colic is so much better.
Hours spent crying has drastically reduced.
There is an NUK website ending .co.uk nukbaby? I think. You can buy online.
Im going to browse later..

NUK website is good but check postage lol I going to buy learner bottle teats in a bit as us them for water for milk in a couple of months, or u can get from from a website called Pharmcy4u they are really good to

I use those bottles too and love them.

With babies with reflux or colic, its actually alot better for them to eat slower anyways.

My LO has really taken to Nuk as we have had trouble getting him to take any other bottle. I am using the second stage teat which seems to be a good flow for him.

One question though....has anyone had trouble with the test collapsing? The air vent is open but every now and then I pull the bottle out and it returns to it's proper shape. Or are they designed to do this as they are quite soft latex so bend easier than others?x

My LO would take 1.5hr to drink 3 oz from a tommee tippee bottle...just couldn't seem to drink from them. We then switched to NUK bottles which were a lifesaver at the time (my LO actually drank properly and would down 3oz in 7 mins!!!!)...but we found the teat kept collapsing.

Because of that, we switched to Dr Browns and have never looked back since.

i got Dr browns bottles last week and find them fab. only thing is the price, in typical expensive ireland, we paid €30.00 for 3 but they are worth it

Thanks for this but my baby is bf so will only take certain teats. He has taken to the NUK ones really well when he has EBM so I want to continue using them ideally. Thanks anyway.xx
