Im sure it's probably normal but Just wondered if anyone else had similar experience. A large portion of my stomach directly above my scar is completely numb and then a patch above that feels like pins and needles all the time...like not painful but when you touch it it's not a full sensation it's a weird dull feeling x

Do you have any edema there? (swelling), I am 7 weeks post partum and STILL have some edema above the scar. I have no feeling there at all. From what my doctor said, you will get more and more feeling there as time goes on, but may have permanent numbness on the scar itself due to the nerves being cut.

No swelling at all...hoping it will come back gradually but I'm not sure it will. From my belly button down to my scar is not right. Hal way up from my scar is completely numb and the rest just the odd sensation. Glad it's normal though...only been two weeks since my section so I know it's early days but it's little things that worry me x

Yes it's completely normal. I had numbness for ages after my first section but the feeling will come back eventually.

Been over 5 months since my daughter was born via c-section and my scar area still feels weird and numb. Totally normal! xoxo

I still have numbness 15 months on. It has got gradually less - originally it was right up to my belly button, but now it's just the inch or so directly above the scar.

Got feeling back at 20 months now pregnant again so got it all again x

I wish mine was numb. Mine is bruised and if I move around too much during the day it get's sore.

Yep, I still kind of have it... it's because they cut the nerves and according to one of my docs, it takes a full year to regain all the sensation, although, I still feel a bit numb around the scar itself and my son's going to be 3 in December lol

Yep, its normal. Its the one thing PP after a section that I find annoying. Once all your nerves have had a change to heal the feeling does come back.

I've noticed the same thing! Like sometimes it feels itchy so I stratch it, but I can't feel myself stratching! So weird..
