What bra do u love most?? (brand/price/etc)

I only have one at the moment, but I haven't even had my baby yet. I got it from target...its not that comfortable so I want something better.

I was considering getting one of those "zip up front" sports bras from victorias secret. I know those aren't really nursing bras, but theyre cute and comfy. Something I could wear at home....

What do you think?

Following. I have one from Target as well, but I find it super comfortable. I'd like to know what other ladies like so after LO arrives and milk comes in I know what to shop for.

US ladies mention what store you shop at for bras too :)

I ended up ordering some from Leading Lady online (I think that was the brand name). They are super comfy, supportive, no underwire, reasonably priced and come in a very large range of sizes.

I started out with two from Mothercare and they were absolutely useless. Ended up going to Bravissimo and the woman there was fab, she sized me up and brought me a great selection if bras to try on. I bought two - black one and white one, think they were about £30 each but definitely getting my wear out of them.

X

I have used Bravissimo, but I didn't like them in the long run. I have made my own from a regular underwire bra, because I prefer underwire but it is so hard to find in my cup size, now I am waiting on some from hot milk lingerie...

Be careful with sports bras-- unless it's a nursing sports bra if can actually hurt your supply because your breasts are compressed!

Target has several types of nursing bras all in the $15-25 range. I found the lined ones with underwire to be comfortable until I was over a C-cup, at which point they put in metal bracers in the chest strap under the armpit. These lasted me 2 years with #1 and would have lasted longer if I hadn't grown several sizes with #2.

They also sell a surprisingly supportive underwire-free bra (the extra support comes from more padding in the underside of the bra cup). I find the straps too thin for DD cups-- they leave deep red welts on my shoulders. The clasp itself is also poor for all but small or very perky breasts. The clasp has a wide hole for which they made a very thin piece of fabric, so the fabric slides to one side and makes the clasp tilt funny. The thin piece of fabric is also the most-used piece of the garment, so after very light use for a short period of time (I used it several weeks for trips to the park in the morning, but #2 sleeps the mornings away, so I rarely nursed in it, maybe 5 times total) the little strap that goes through the cup-side of the nursing clasp is shredded and about to just fall apart.

And they sell an excellent nursing sports bra. The bra straps are wide and comfortable and don't dig. A correctly-sized bra fits well and supportively enough to run without bounce. They fit a bit tight if you're not used to good sports bras, but I've always loved my compression bras for running. They don't fit tightly enough to actually compress and I wouldn't think these would compromise milk supply. The downside that might not even bother you is that the cups are veeery full-coverage. Enough that they peek over a Target nursing tank at the sides near the straps, which bothers me because my every-day wear for the first 15ish months after baby is nursing tank+camisole. As you can also see in the link, this bra doesn't have independent cups, so when you're nursing, the cups don't rotate out of the way as conveniently as independent cups do, but can be sufficiently moved for everyone's comfort.

MommyJogger I had to laugh a little when you said a properly fitted sports bra will let you run without bounce...maybe up to a DD or so, but I dare you to find one that would let me run without bounce at an (US) I cup. I have a very good one that works great, but even it only claims to reduce movement "up to 86%!" (which means the average person gets less reduction)...

Anyway, I got one of my hotmilk ones in, I like it for the most part. It is supportive (for a none wire) and nurses well. And it is pretty. I miss the lift and separate effect you get from an underwire though, I dislike my breasts touching in the middle.

My faves are from Target as well.

I was given some normal daytime nursing bras that unclip and I hate them! So uncomfortable.

My fave is a wrap 'sleep' one from Motherhood Maternity. There is no lining but I wear nursing pads anyway. I Find it extremely easy and convenient and wish I had 3 or 4 of them! https://www.motherhoodcanada.ca/mobile/Product.asp?Product_Id=925010361&MasterCategory_Id=MC29
Other than that, For the most part I just wear Nursing tank tops from Target under everything and don't bother with a bra!

Weird! That has never happened with mine! To each her own I guess!

My favourite are by Bravado.

Really comfy. And have lasted me over 2 years now. (Were the only bras that we're comfortable towards the end of pregnancy when my ribs hurt)

If it was me personally I would not get a zip up bra. I would stick to the maternity bras if you want a bra. I bought mine from "motherhood maternity" not really sure what brand. I have 2 different kinds and I love them both! I will say the nursing tanks are really nice too. I spent more money than I would have liked on my bras. I believe it was around $30/$40. On sale I could get them for around $20.

These are the same ones I wear. I love them! I'm a DDD and under wire ones just give too much push and I feel like my boobs r in my face lol although these don't have much support they r great for nursing and super comfortable. Plus my boobs r always changing size all day long depending on if I just nursed or if it's been a few hours, so i feel like these fit better than ones with an actual cup size

Forgot to add I wouldn't get the zip up sports bra either...I thought the same as u at first and bought something similar. it was a sports bra with the little clips in the front. The problem was when I nursed and opened it, the other boob leaked all over. Better to have one where just one boob comes out then u can have a nursing pad on the other one

This. And if you're going to try them anyway, before you buy, try to get both boobs back in and zip it up all with one hand, lol.
