I'm apologising in advance as this may be lengthy and may seem petty, but I've now had enough!!
Myself, my Jack Russell (pup at the time) and 2 cats had to move back in with my mom and 18 year old sister last year due to harassment off an ex..I found out I was pregnant around 7/8months after..My sister is in a wheelchair and has slight, very slight, learning difficulties..
Since being pregnant, my mom's been really supportive, helped with A LOT because I'd lost my job just before finding out I was pregnant and due to 24/7 vomiting, I couldn't get a job as I simply felt shit up until 12/13 weeks..Anyway, they live in a 2 bed bungalow, beginning of the pregnancy I was sleeping on the sofa, then moved 2 a bed in my sister's room, I've had a lot of pain in my hips also due to arthiritis so found sleeping on an air bed much better for the pain. Due to my previous 2 MMC's, I didn't tell my sister until after my 12 week scan that I was pregnant...Since then, my baby was referred to as HER baby, conversation was baby stuff 24/7, put up with it a week or so, then had a big outburst as it was far too much and driving me mad!! Then she started with the animals, saying 'Oh, they came to me first and ignored you' or 'they don't bother with you anymore' ok, I couldn't of cared less, but half the time she just made it up! My dog is all me and no one else simply due to how ill he was as a pup and he had to be really cared for and now seems to think he's a baby
I told my mom that she was irritating me and she had a word...I then found out the sex, my sister was telling people that SHE was choosing her name..Errr, no, that never happened! She was then referred to as HER Brooke, saying she's gonna take her on holidays and do this, that and the other...Again, spoke to my mom..By this point I felt quite bad for my mom as my sister's a right pain, simply refuses to do stuff for herself but is extremely moody and arsey, so I gritted my teeth and at times, blatantly ignored her..She also has in her head I'll be living here when she's born despite me and my mom having conversations about me moving out and she's heard.
I brought some tickets for my mom for xmas to see a show in April, my sister insisted she wanted to go, I made her pay for her own ticket as I don't have the spare cash..The other morning she called me in the room 'Gemma, you need to cancel those tickets for April' First off, it's my moms xmas present, I was already fuming from her irritating me so I had a bit of a go, she then said 'Well, you won't want to be alone with a baby will you' What!?!?!? I'll be living by myself, how can I not be alone with a baby???
I'm sick to death of her delibratly trying to make me feel and sound useless, she may have learning difficulties but she actually know's exactly what she's doing!! I'm also sick of her banging on about it all over her facebook, I've had problems with the FOB and didn't want him knowing anything, yet if he wanted, he could go on her facebook and see everything!!!
It's driving me mad...I want this baby and I know full well I am more than capable of looking after her and giving her what she needs..It's not like I have no experience as I'm a qualified carer and have all sorts of degrees and experience in all sorts of other stuff to do with care so I'm not stupid nor am I totally unaware..Yeah, I get she's the first niece, but it's beyond a joke and she doesn't bloody listen!! If it wasn't for her, I'd of happily stayed here after the birth to find a nice decent home for us but flatly refuse now! I wouldn't cope with her!! PLUS she only gets moody and shouts when babies cry anyway!
