Hey Peeps,
Am so new in here. Been TTC for the past 2 years. Managed to get BFP in Aug 2013 but it didnt last long (only 6 weeks!)... Wanted to get a wash but Dr seems reluctant since uhcg is already negative and bhcg is low.
Anyways, been trying so hard now but deep down I know it's the weight that is the barrier. Managed to lose 6 kgs so far for the past two months from 141 to 135kgs.
I am already 32 turning 33 in a months time. I am indeed racing against time and want to get the BFP ASAP!!!!
Wanted to opt for IVF but Dr demanded for me to lose 40 over kgs!!! Decided to let it go... and to try naturally. DH also not keen to test for sperm count and etc... :dohh:

Cycle is around 29 - 35days...On every CD 18 or 19... I will feel cramps on my lower abdo... which I deduced to be my ovulating period...
Bought OPKs from early.pregnancy tests.... only managed to see faint lines and never ever a dark or darker than control line.
Saliva test did not tally with OPKs so I'm kinda give up...

Anyone of you who are in the same boat as me? Can share your experience? Being voluptuous and TTC ?

:howdy:
Yup, I'm in a similar boat to you! Overweight, managed to lose 3 kgs over the past month-ish so I'm happy about that.
Waiting for AF to show up so I can have some blood tests done before OH and I can start TTC again. It's an annoying wait - I have PMS symptoms with not even a hint of AF visiting yet.

It's harder to get help when you're overweight because (in my experience) most doctors and consultants will just see your weight and nothing else. I'm sick of hearing "well if you had weight loss surgery..." :growlmad:
Gah! If my weight is such a problem then why aren't the doctors interested in helping me lose weight naturally; rather than throwing surgery that I don't want at me?!

Anyway, rant over. It's nice to "meet" someone in a similar situation.
:flower:

True... it is so demoralising...
Anyway, did you manage to conceive previously?
If yes, can share?

I am so glad I found this thread! My doctor has never mentioned my weight thank god, but I worry regardless. I'm in perfect health, bloods are all good. The hardest part is seeing my cute little friends showing their bumps, but I never see beautiful overweight ladies in pregnancy announcements. We need a group or something!

Dear Fizmie,

Don't give up yet. I know someone who's obese, had a DS and is now pregnant with #2. I know that after ttc for so long one may lose hope... But until you're healthy you should keep trying and have faith. This was my 3rd month ttc and after a very faint bfp af shows... I was really down this morning but it won't stop me from trying again and again...

Good luck sweety and lots of babydust your way xxx
