But does anyoneee know how to stop this??
basicaly im on Microsoft word just tryingg to type something up and everytime im typing its deleting the next letter! im doing a cv basically and i keep editing it to make it sound better and then its erasing a letter everytime i type a letter like if im typing somewhere in the middle of the page

so just deletete what needs chanding and re-write that lil bit again,
as i have no idea how to change it back (nor did my comp teachers in school)

yehh but if iv wrote 'bla bla bla' if i then write 'wanted' im only left with 'la bla' lool do u get what i mean?then i gota re type the whole rest of the page up again from where i began editing it x

you've probably bumped the 'insert' key somehow.
if you find that, press it. check if it has fixed the problem. if it hasn't make sure to press it again to make it go back to the way it was or you'll have a complete new problem.
if that doesn't help, i'm not sure sorry.

copy, close document, open new document then paste?

Omg all this time ive never know it was something as simple as a button, i always saved my work then opened it again !

i've been trying to figure this out for years! i always just save and open again too
also i keep accidentaly hitting ctrl and shift or some combination of keys like that and it starts underlining things in red instead of deleting them if i press that backspace button. i have windows xp, sorry if explained that very badly! any ideas how to get rid of this?

theres a button in the status bar(bottom of screen). "ovt" . it means overtype, and if the letters are black.. its on. Just click the letters and it will turn off. ( I dont know if thats the same deal with insert... but i know thats been the problem with me)
