OH being self employed and benefits!?

Hi ladies!

Just wondering if anyone elses OH's are self employed that are receiving benefits - ie. Housing benefit/council tax and working tax credits etc?

I was wondering if anyone could let me know how it works with being S.Employed?

I think we'd be entitled to those benefits but before I book an appt at the job centre or anything, I was wondering if anyone on here could enlighten me first???

We're trying to work out finances - looking for a private rented place atm as had no luck with the council, I'm due in jan and getting stressed with worrying if we'll be able to afford our own place. He currently shares with his brother so all bills are halved and I'm still at home but we want somewhere before Christmas!

my husband is self employed and we were entitled to housing benefit, council tax benefit, ctc and wtc.. It depends on his earnings though
