We had the name Lincoln picked out since before we started TTC. I've been referring to my bump as 'Lincoln' since we found out we were having a boy at 16 weeks (over 2 months ago now)

Anyway, OH has changed his mind. He's gone off Lincoln altogether and doesn't want to use it anymore. He had Maxwell and Franklin on his list early on, which I also liked but he doesn't like either of them now time has moved on. The only other names he has suggested are Thor and Eric and I'm not a fan of either. Because he is so damn picky, I'm just going to make a list of all the boy names I like and let him pick one off of that. Hopefully there will be at least one.

The names I like so far as Josiah, Micah, Alberto and Tobias.

I'd love to hear any names you ladies have so I can add some of them to my list :-) xx

Names he's said no to recently:
Oscar, Logan, Austin, Jackson, Brody, Freddie (used from a lady that posted on my second trimester thread). Jacob, Gabriel, Leo, Finley, Grayson, Ashley.

The list:
Josiah, Micah, Alberto, Tobias, Theodore, Elijah, Daxton, Frankie.

How annoying lol tell your OH he can name the next one if you decide to have anymore.
Seriously though if it's a name you have your heart set on you might find it really hard to agree on a new name. Maybe it will be different when your little boy is born and you look at him and decide Lincoln does/doesn't suit him.

Other names
Nicolaas *
Tyler
Scott
Alexander
Elijah

*My son is called Nicolaas (shortened to Nico) It's pronounced like Neecoolaas and not Nicholas which he gets called when people read his name lol.

I have a Franklin, and Lincoln and Maxwell are both on my list, so obvs very similar tastes :), I also love Theodore. Maybe he'll change his mind when bubba arrives?? X

I hope that's the case. I'm favouring Josiah, Theodore and Daxton for first names. Hopefully he'll like one of those. Going to text him my list in a little while :-) x

I love franklin!

our youngest was going to be Isaiah which I still love Similar to your Josiah

I also love Jensen but its becoming very popular!

We just had this issue too. We had Levi Michael or Quinn Matthew picked out for a boy and in August DH shot them down. I asked for why. He just wasn't feeling Quinn (which I wasn't really either). Levi he thought was too popular.

So then with every name he shot down I asked why the big thing was he wanted unique, not popular (which for boys I think is hard now) but traditional. I also was picky. We have finally decided on Isaac (trying to figure out spelling) with nickname of Ike. Middle name will either be Matthew or Francis.

We went through family trees and thought about Conrad, Korman, Kierman, Leo and some others. But none felt right to us.

Hope that helps a little.

If we have two boys in our life time I"ll be right there with you. We are holding a family name for our first boy (if blessed with one) for two reasons: one to honor our fathers and two because it's easiest with a DH as stubborn about trivial things as mine.

DH is a sweetheart about life decisions but it's always the small stuff he fusses about. Our wedding planning was stalled a few times because of FONTS on our invites or the way trees looked at the venue. Oye!

DH has also expressed interest in Max/Maxwell. And said if we have two boys I can name the second Ashley... we will see...

Good luck! I'm happy that you're not super frustrated (yet). Maybe you need a short list then decide when he arrives?

OH wants to start trying for another baby pretty much the second I'm discharged from hospital. I on the other hand, don't know if I'm even going to want a second baby yet. I feel like the name has to be perfect for both of us in case he's our only child. Little bit of added stress x

Love that both Micah and Tobias are on your list. Great taste!

To be honest, I like a lot of the names on your list, and you can't go wrong with them. I never like when naming becomes one sided, so I'm hoping you both find one you can agree. :flower:
