Phoned my GP this morning, they lost 1 urine sample done on 24th aug, rang up for the results of the 2nd one and they've lost that one aswell,
I think I've got a UTI which I've had symptoms for since 24th august,
But they won't give me antibiotics till they get the results back from the lab, but they've lost the 2 samples I've given, so now have to go and drop another one off and hope they don't loose that 1 aswell

That's awful! I would ask them if you can wait on the results as they don't actually take that long to come back...that's the least they can do since they lost two samples. :hugs:

Tried asking that but apparantly they take over night at least

How do they loose a sample? When I give mine the nurse takes it and tests it right away!

I would forget the doctor and call up your labour ward. I went into mine a couple of weeks ago because i was worried about a urine infection on a Saturday. They used a dip test on my pee immediately and put my mind at rest. That is nonsense really - never heard of it being "sent away" or taking so long.

ps. I believe you can also quite cheaply buy the dip tests the nurses/midwives use to test for infection/protein and other stuff in your pee. Maybe you want to try that if no joy.

Will look into buyin some dip sticks, my doctors are useless, you take the sample and put it in a box at reception and someone picks up the box and take it to the lab, and they do all the testing at the lab, it would make a lot more sense to test it theere and then.
