My son is now approaching 7 months and I've been back to the gym for about a week. I have no excuses, after two pregnancies 5 months apart I've gotten used to being a bit lazy
that and my abs split in my second pregnancy quite bad, so I've been taking plenty of time with the smaller exercises to help them to come back together and repair properly in good time. We have a home gym which makes life a lot easier for us, and gives me no reason for any excuses! so at the end of the day when the LO's are tucked up in bed asleep we head to the home gym for an hour. The only thing is, mummy tummy has been impossible to shift. I don't expect results from my own week of gym-going but I've also changed my diet completely for quite some time now and no shift. I have a wonderful 4 pack
but my mummy tummy is just stubborn.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions to specific exercises that will target that part, and how I can burn the fat off and tone my tum up yet still put weight on. I currently weigh 104lbs (7 stone 6lbs) and have another 8lbs to gain before I'm at my goal weight. It seems quite difficult to burn fat on my tum and tone it up, yet put weight on at the same time. Any suggestions would be absolutely wonderful, it's really starting to bother me now. Currently, we have leg day which must be my favourite with the weighted squats; arm and back day, core day, etc etc. DH is pretty fit-tastic and knows his stuff so I have plenty of faith in the work outs he plans for us, but he's not too sure on the mummy tummy side of things. I've also cut gluten out of my diet for the most part, and replaced some meats with quorn - mostly because I hear the quorn is good for protein to aid my gym-going. I don't want to diet or cut anything out entirely, our diets are absolutely wonderful as they are and I am seeing some slight improvement (just less bloating from removing gluten, I think).
