I dont know what im doingg..im trying to sort out house stuff like internet, tv, phone, home insurance ect ect..I dont have a bloody clue :(
Its scaring me having to do all this i hateee being tied down to things and to me having to sign up to all these contract things where im having to pay monthly is really upsetting me..
I pay my mobile phone on a contract but thats only £20 a month..i can cope with that ahah..not all these big things like Sky and house contents cover, Rent, Water and Electric ect AGH i feel like crying
For those who have moved out..how do you cope with these kind of things?
Does it become easier once you start to get into a routine?
Maybe im just freaking out at the thought of it..tbh i really panicked when i took out my mobile phone contract and ive never had a problem with it..

i hate bills!! My oh pays the rent each month and i pay all the bills, which are
Tv, phone and internet
Council tax
Water
Electricity
Gas
Tv license

Then i also have my car insurance, mobile phone bill and we have got a new sofa which im paying off each month. Oh and im paying off my credit card bill too!!

I dont know how i manage it to be honest with food on top of that. Im not sure if my statutory mat pay will stretch that far but ill find out at the end of the month
xx

I dont think id trust OH to pay the rent! haha..i think its best left to me. (then again! Rents just one amount coming out..trust the women to havta be left with all the hard bits!) ....Luckily i paid my part of car insurance off in bulk until november so dont havta worry about that..
Do you end up with much money left at the end of the month? Or once bills have been payed..im terrified im gonna havta pay everything..and then i'll have 0 money left
Or i'll take sign up for internet ect and then realise i cant afford it..even though i know i can..im still freaking out lol x

Yeah just lately iv been left with enough money but that was when i was working full time. Im on mat leave now so my pay isnt going to be as much as it was so ill know how ill be coping by the end of this month when i get paid again.
All in all i think im paying out about £400 a month
xx

aww i moved out before and had the same thing ..
i think the easiest way to do it is write down on paper your income..
work out how much you spend weekly/monthly on food and how much you have left..

then look around for the best deals on tv,internet etc and see if you can get the best deals with everything that your budget can cover with some money still left over xx

Aww you get used to it, when I moved out a few years ago, I hate bills coming out at all different times of the month, and it got really confusing, and id think I had loads of money left, when in fact I had car insurance, or credit card or water left to pay!!

We just put about 1500 into the bills account every month, this covers both our car insurances, his van insuance, rent, electric, gas, internet, landline, both phone bills, my credit card, our store card, and council tax.

Then I know that I have about 600 left for food bills petrol and going out, buying things etc, and Oh has about 1000, but we just share it all, as we have both our money going into my account.

I remeber the days when I thought 500 pounds wasaloit of money, but that doesnt even cover half our bills :(

It gets much easier, me and OH have been renting for nearly a year now. At first it was hard to organize suppliers, and I was quite used to it having done this several times before for other people. We had electric and gas meters which we top up weekly to help us manage our money better, its a bit more expensive but works for us better. We spend £2-5 a week on gas in summer, £6-8 in winter. We spend £5 a week on electric all year round. We spend £12 on our TV license a month, make sure you get this sorted (you can buy it online, easy as), they are always on the look out!! We pay £33 a month for TV & Internet, but this isn't really essential in the beginning we waited 4 months to settle first. We do a fortnightly shop and i cook everything fresh as its much cheaper. If I buy fresh vegetables I cut them up and freeze then. I but meat on offer and split to portions and freeze too. Plenty of pasta and rice. Tin tomatoes too and your set!!

We budget every week by writing down whats going to come in and what must go out before next pay day!! Then we tally it all and see whats left to live on, for luxuries like nights out or new clothes. We save up for birthdays months in advance by doing like £10 a week so we don't notice it and then the birthday is easy to buy for!

Good luck, you'll manage, everybody does!!
