Has anyone else noticed that foods you used to love taste horrible now? I used to love hamburgers and meatballs and now the taste makes me feel like I'm going to vomit. And chocolate and sweets. I used to have the biggest sweet tooth, now, I never want to see another piece of candy again.
Certain smells that used to make me happy and comfort me make my stomach curl. The smell of oil and cigarettes (always familiar and welcome cause my grandpa smells that way and I used to smoke), foods, and my favorite perfumes bother me.
Do things that used to comfort you bother you now?

When I was pregnant I couldn't stand pasta, even the word pasta made me gag! I love pasta now, and always have, except for my pregnancy, I went off it before I even realised I was pregnant! And I couldn't tolerate the smell of petrol at all! (for some reason my OH had a zippo only for the duration of my pregnancy :L)

I was living with my baby's father and his father & uncle, and they all smoke. I've smoked cigarettes since I was 15, and all of a sudden about three weeks ago, the smell made me vomit. I thought maybe I was just sick, but then I realized how late I was. Which, for me was normal. My period had been irregular for the past year. Now, the smells make me feel like I'm going to lose my lunch.

I wish it had had that effect on me, would've made quitting during pregnancy a lot easier :L it was just petrol and pasta for me, the pasta aversion started literally the day after I implanted (looking back I can pinpoint the exact moment although I didn't know it at the time) oh the other one was OH's shows, I made him leave them outside :)

I feel like it was a blessing in disguise, that the smell has made me sick. My family and best friend has been trying to get me to quit for the past six months. I just hate that I can't even look at a hamburger anymore. lol.

With my first I loved mayonnaise and one of my OH's sprays, I soon hated them, I couldn't eat mayonnaise until my son was three months old and I still hate the spray :dohh:

Even before pregnancy, I thought mayo was nasty, and reading the word just now made my stomach curl.

I loved it and ate it so much then one day the thought of it disgusted me! This time strangely enough I love things that I usually hate, I hate caramel Dairy Milk but I love it this pregnancy! :dohh:

When I was pregnant I really did not like the thought of chicken breast. And before I moved, the hallway of my apartment building literally made me dry heave. Gross.

I really love apples now, which is weird for me. I used to be able to take them or leave them. And, as for chicken breast, I've been craving lemon pepper chicken for like two weeks. lol

Cigarette smoke and meat

Ridiculous considering I used to loveeee meat and I used to smoke!

I used to smoke too Amy but I haven't been able to stand the smell of smoke in over two years now  Can't complain lol

Horrible isn't it? :(
Unfortunately OH is still smoking, so it really does repulse me if he comes near me too soon after a cig. He's trying to quit though, hope he gets a bloody move on

My grandpa just walked back into the house from smoking, and as soon as he stepped through the door, I could smell it. It's so gross. I hate how heightened my sense of smell has become.

Mines crazy too, my taste buds are extremely sensitive too. I can't drink out of those cardboard disposable cups you get from starbucks or costa anymore cos I can taste the cardboard

Oh gosh, I hope that doesn't happen to me. I love Starbucks. Yesterday, when I was out in public, I could smell this girls hair gel or spray, and it made me feel sick to my stomach.

 You'll just have to drink in!
Oh God, it doesn't get any better :nope: we turn into sniffer dogs when we're pregnant hahaha!

Maybe since I can sniff like a dog I'll start herding with my aussies. Lol. My dogs have been attached to my hip since I returned to my grandparents. I'm not sure if it's just cause they miss me or if they know that I'm expecting.

My OH still does too, he was supposed to quit before Jason was born... :dohh: I hated getting the bus earlier on because people would get on smelling of fags or perfume etc and it made me need to move seats loads! :(

My Grandpa smokes, but hasn't smoked in front of me since I tested positive on a HPT.
